What benifit does this have over the standard ECU??

- Removes speed limiter

- Increased revs limiter

- Run more BOOST (my car was running 14 psi on a standard engine)

- Increases performance dramatically over standard ecu

- Improves fuel economy

- save on hasles using aftermarket ecu's just plug in and go

- Genuine MINES aproved and stamped (as pictured)

You MAY need a tune to run it, I couldnt tell you as I havent yet tried it as my car is in pieces. The ecu plugs straight into the standard plug

if you can confirm this will work on an auto i'll probably take it

Cant confirm anything, only because I havent had it running in my car man, if your willing to risk it gimme a call.

Does this actually allow you to run more boost? Do you actually know what its tuned for at all or just guessing? Does it actually increase rpm limit etc if you haven't tried it how would you know? Its just that you state one minute your car was running 14psi on a standard motor but at the end of the same post you state you haven't yet tried it as your car is in pieces and in the subsequent post 'Cant confirm anything, only because I havent had it running in my car man' ?????

You also put you may need a tune to run it but is it actually retunable? Just incase you didn't know the R33 stores its maps on the actual main CPU which requires complete replacement to change fuel maps so unless this ECU has something trick it wouldn't be retunable.....

Ok my mistake I copy and pasted that off the information I was sent on ebay apon purchase. So to clear things up. This guy had it running on his car, on 14psi with front mount and full exhaust made 210kw at the wheels. Now, everything else Ive said makes sense. I havent tried it on my car as the head is off. It is a genuine mines ecu, Stamped/plated , still sealed has not been taken apart and tampereed with so other than what Ive provided I cant tell you much else about it. Has new air/fuel maps etc. Im sure someone must know a bit more about them than I do, Im just getting rid of it to help me get my car back running. Hope it helps. Sorry for the confusion

to clear things up, i'll lend a hand

i am CURRENTLY USING a Mines ecu.

NO they are not remappable coz they are factory locked. so for those of you looking to use then remap, no good.

it removes boost cut, rev limit (yes i have driven into redline before), speed cut.

you are right in stating it is a good increase in power and torque but the fuel economy is no better than standard, in many cases worse! you might also want to stating whether for series one or two cos they might be different.

cheers

i dont see why you would want to remove your rev limiter or make it higher with stock engine:S

stoopid i think...

and how would it be saving you fuel in this case??????

no it doesnt help on the fuel side. think of it as a remap but more aggressive. it will be a plug in replacement with the standard computer with the simple case of pull out the old one and plug in the new. does NOT require to be retuned, or rather should i say it CANNOT be retuned/mapped unless you ship your car back to the Mines factory as it is done to your vehicle specs.

over-revving is not recommended coz it pushes the engine beyond its intended measures, but to see what it can do i did it anyways hahaha

in regards to the speed limiter, i havent been able to go beyond 260 yet (my radiator blew) so cant see any limit placed on it.

.... but the fuel economy is no better than standard, in many cases worse! you might also want to stating whether for series one or two cos they might be different.

cheers

either way it is more than likely tuned to an exhaust and pod filter at least, with some chance of it been mapped to fmic and other minor mods.

NOTE...it WILL be running rich...VERY rich lol expect to change plugs more often with smokey exhausts and big flames  hahaha

Thanks for your help and input man, I havent had a lot to do with ecu's. The guy that sold me it had it in a series one r33 manual transmission
