hey dude, i have a full xforce 3.5" system from just jap. all stainless steel. very good and im very happy, but just be carefull with the volume. i think im over the legal limit...

as for size the 3.5" has a bigger resonator which i think keeps the volume lower plus the bigger set is better if your gonna go for bigger power figures later down the track...

I have a 3" with the bigger resonator.

Is very quiet lol, no way that its over. After putting it on i was actually wondering if i had remembered to take all the stuffing out of the pipe sections lol.

Great performance upgrade tho, spools much nicer now, and JJR do great prices on them. I was quoted $600 extra by the so called "wa supplier" of these than just jap.

So you pretty much cant go wrong with either but given the choice, go the 3.5 from the cat back with the oval resonator. U will have no troubles.

But just so you know they do hang kinda low.

Cheers,

Dragonforce

Hey thanks for the replies,

I dont think i explained it properly. Im gonna get a full 3" exhaust, im not getting a 3.5" at all but what i wanted to know is with the 3" exhaust what would suit it better... A 3" cat or 3.5"cat both are for a 3"exhaust?

Nismoid knows what im talking about.

Just asking cause you get an option with which one you want.

Thanks again guys

I have the full 3" xforce system on my 33. Its satasfyingly loud without being offensive. Ive had a cop ask me to rev my car while he stood behind it and didn't get a defect. Doesn't mean its not over I know but it helps.

Anyway the 3" system is fairly well price, and yes I would think the 3.5" cat with it, even if it did fit fine, would be kind of.....pointless.

A cat is more restrictive then an open pipe yes? So a 3.5" cat flared out to a 3" system, will still clearly flow more then a 3" cat with 3" sys... ;S

By how much, and is it worth the cost, who knows. In a fortnight or two im using a 5" cat with a 4" system.
