I went for a spirited drive up into the mountains and i checked my powerFC to see that my coolant temp was at 100 degrees and I can only imagine what temps my oil was at! And by spirited driving I mean, mostly driving normally with a few quick spurts every so often.

Now it was about 30 ambient and very muggy but this concerned me a little because at any other time driving around normally temps sit between 80-89 on hot days (QLD weather) and I was just curious to compare with others as to what temps they get when pushing thier cars and what's the natural progression to combat this? I work on european cars that run around normally on 110 dgrees all day for maximum efficiences but I'm unsure of what is normal for jap imports?

Any info would be most appreciated. . . . . Cheers

80deg is ideal

the ecu will start to retard the timing if it gets too high

100deg could indicate cooling problems - check radiator, flush it, check water pump

Mine is at 70 nismo thermostat gets up to 80ish with hard driving
