PWR Water to air intercooler?

So anyone seen one of these? They had them featured in the latest Zoom, thinking its a pretty awesome alternative to the conventional air to air front mount intercooler, if there is sufficient room to fit it under the bonnet..

yes they have been around for a while and i think they are good i was going to get one for my r33 as to do something diffrent and not follow suit.Requires some extra plumbing though

what is a water to air intercooler? Instead of air flowing over your intercooler tubes to remove heat, water is passed over the tubes instead... basically.

Is the water in an enclosed system which is recycled like a radiator, or spray jets that feed a limited supply of water from a reservior ?

can you imagine an enclosed tank with a normal intercooler in side of it but smaller.The water cools the intercooler .But after a while the water gets warm so the water needs cooling too.The advantages are that water cools better than air.Disadvantage is that the water needs cooling too!!

That is why you can buy a radiator for the water cooler. PWR sell them as a complete kit or as an option.

I believe it is very beneficial for applications when the water doesnt have time to heat up i.e drag racing. However, for track and daily driving, I would still go air to air cooler. Any one agree/disagree?

havnt heard enuff bout air/water but would go this option to do something diffrent.Why arnt drag cars using it??
