There was cameras but there on the exit and entrance of the carpack i saw the car tailgating another and being tailgated by another stolen ford ute. it happened on the 4th of january at 2pm day light

the car had central locking and 3d party +theft.

I am offering a $5000 reward for the successful RECOVERY of the vehicle to the first person who recovers it and calls the police when they spot the car. Or to the person who gives the police relevant information that leads to recovering the car.

The reward will be given to you once the car is in police hands.

If you do call the police and help make sure to notify them of your name in order for me to know who to give the reward to.

Thanks guys as you can see I just want my car back!

habourside carpark is a know hot spot for car theft. same story, they target cars without alarms. and sadly if you can't afford a decent alarm mostly you can't afford (or get) insurance either. bad news :P

they do the same thing. find nice car without alarm, come in with a stolen car. steal car, tailgate on the way out. the bloody carpark operators don't care. they only have camers to get numberplates of people who try and get out without paying. they don't actually care about security.

fact is any alarm can be messed with the best option is, use Any deterent including clublock, etc to deter any theft.

Dam i used to park my car in starcity carpark no worries but with the recent spate of thefts i dont risk it. Also i wouldnt leave my car in any multi story car park.

Like BB said, Harbourside dont care at all about anything bar the $22 fee people try to evade, that goes for most parking centres!

so hw to get decent alarm?? some peeps have alarms but still get stolen

will this car had no alarm at all. so any alarm would be a step above that. but basically forget an alarm for protecting your car. just buy something with 3pt immobiliser, back-up battery siren, and black wiring and have it installed somewhere reputable.

The real thing protecting your car is INSURANCE. I cannot stress that enough. no alarm will help you when faced with someone just using a tow truck to tow your car away. but comprehensive insurance will.

BB: I'm always security conscious but with the new prepay systems being used we're miles away from the exit. I personally regularly patrol the carparks i work at but still have had cars stolen on my shift. With up to 6 levels of parking and over 1000 cars its hard.

I chased down a stolen car the other month at the Royal North Shore hospital multi level carpark, and got the plates of the stolen car and the car the thieves came in and reported to police. But in all honesty surely they changed the plates or used another stolen car to come in with?

I don't park in carparks especially around market city and darling harbour, famous for car thieves and gives them a quiet sheltered place to steal ur car. Much safer parked on a busy street outside a bright convenience store.

lol, I used to Kryptonite lock a wheel around the suspension on my GTR and set the PFC rev limit to minimum (1200 I think) and hide the hand contoller AND disconnect the ignitor and crank angle sensor. Paranoid much?

i wish i knew how to do all of that....
