Hi,

I have recently bought a R32 GTR and it hasn't got any speakers in the front. I have got a set of 6x9 laying around and I was wondering if I could put them in the front doors, without angle grinding the doors or cutting the doors trims.

Cheers any help would be much appreciated

door speakers are round 6.5 inch holes

a 6x9 wont fit comfortably unless you cut the door or just mount the speakers so they stick out.

speakers are cheap, if you have a 32gtr why not just spend $200 for some good speakers that fit nicely.

You can make adapters fairly easy but as above - for the sound you get they arent worth it.

If you really want it done, allow at LEAST $200 to have the adapters made, basic soundproofing, and installation. Main issue is that they will sit out from your door a lot, looking bulky, getting in the road of your feet, and putting stress on your door trim.

i just marked around the original door speaker mounts on my R32 and cut it out with a jig saw.. then mounted the speakers into that.. done that with a few cars now.. incl skyline's silvia's and liberty's

works good.. and the wood surround is good for acoustics of the speaker :D also seals the door more creating a little speaker box in the door.
