There's a o2 sensor sticky in the general maintenance section... 25 pages with bad signal to noise ratio, but it might answer the question.

id like to know too as the idiot who made me a custom dump pipe and took my hks dump pipe mounted the o2 sensor too close to turbo and it has over heated n makes lots of rateling noise i think its stuffed up.. so will make new dump pipe with new setup.. n will need new o2 sensor but it should be as easy as take of the old one and take it to repco i think

Fitting an O2 sensor too close to the turbo shouldn't damage it, some cars have them before the turbo
