Rattling Turbo

Hey guys,

My turbo is making weird noises.

Like rattling hard when first started, i think its from the rear of the turbo.

I think its the waste gate not sealing?????

When car is warm i dont hear it, and under boost no noise.

I think my turb is stuffed, been on the bee*r a bit

Standard 25 turb on rb20 internal gate with dump pipe.

Try ajusting the gate a bit tighter, so it pushes against the whole more.

I had a ratling noise on my last 33 and the gate wasnt shut enough.

you could try and undo the two bolts that hold the wastegate actuator onto the turbo and see if there is enough play in there to close the gate fully, otherwise just slightly bend the actuator rod until and wastegate flap is fully closed.

Hopefuly not 2 much of a drama...

Just need it going till my engine build is over.

What would be the cause of this? and if i continue 2 drive her will it start fkin sh!t up?

Sounds like wastegate rattle to me...have a go at doing what these guys have said...

Also...if its meant to last till your build is done...the bee*r limiter might not be a good idea...
