yeah but ferni for the difference of $25k for a decent 32 to $60k for a decent 34, is it worth it?

We are also talking value for money here, right? I wouldnt be able to justify spending 60k on a 34. Id rather buy a 32, then spend 10k on it if need be.

Neither me or anyone else here said anything about money or value

I'm just putting the facts out there about what is 'better'. And when you break it down, most of the time the newer is 'better'. Of course styling is personal preference - neither is 'better'.

I could go on. So All those who are claiming the 32 is the best, assuming you're not talking about styling here - because we don't buy GTR's for their styling, we buy them for their performance right? What exactly is it that makes 32's so much better than 33s? or 34s?

I said it above, i'll say it again, All 3 Models of GTR are great cars.

32 is THE raw GTR...

The 1 which started it all, the 1 which crushed everything in it's path...

It's the 1 that grabbed my attention, made me say wow and the 1 which i fell desperate for since a little kid... :domokun:

wow... strong usage of "1"s :D

But like said.. all of them are great...

R32 are my favourite, but when i was looking to get a GT-R i noticed that there were far more R33's in excellent condition than R32's - I'm sure part of that has to do with age. Add to that the improved brakes, ATESSA and overall design of the car and i thought i'd be better off getting an R33 until i could afford to own an R32 and any potential age-related maintenance that may have to be carried out.

That's a nice story but it doesn't have anything to do with which is 'better' :) Which is what this thread is about :(

But i agree with you "all of them are great".

haha yeah i just wanted the facts of which was better. r32 would be the way to go, but i am currently overseas in the army. an will be over here for another 3.5 months. so now i have decided to go for the mother of all gtr's.. a r34 gtr v-spec. Quick change of heart but im sure you can understand.

what happened to the $20,000 budget?

If you've got any extra cash, send it my way please.

Don't forget to share and care dude :D

Anyway, it's personal preference.

R32 GTR - has always been the the original godzilla. Lightest of all GTRs. Minus point is that it's old.

R33 GTR - Unfortunately there have been too many GTSTs around wanting to be r33 GTSRs, sticking that badge behind. Which IMO made the R33 less unique. R33s are generally called the 'whale'. Plus point is that it has the more advance parts than the R32. :(

i hope i can be of some help here: 6 months back i had the money to choose from all three ... altho i love the 34 to bits and kms are much lower in general. i still settled for the 32 purely because of its size... i wanted something that looked nimble and low(32 is an inch lower than 33-34) styling of the 32 is on a need to know basis everything has a purpose and there isnt too much extra bling except the climate control.

main downside of owning the original gtr is maintenance... because of their age there are things that need replacing.... this can be an advantage because when u replace, u can up it a level and customise your car the way u want it!

good luck! but if u love hills go the 32
