hi, i dont know much about skylines but really wanna buy one in a $2000 budget..this will probably sound stupid. But does it make a difference which color i get when it comes to finding easy and cheap body parts? whether its black or white? are their body parts equally available?

For r33 i would get either White Or silver they look best in those colours , In terms of Parts doesnt really matter youll End up Painting them anyway.... Parts are easy to get but some are expensive You just have to get lucky Hope Pople are wrecking there cars on the forum.

Good luck..

If you have a $2000 budget, then you could probably find a reasonable R31.

If you have a $20000 budget, you could even pick up a R32 GT-R. Otherwise a very modded R33 GTS-T or even a stock R34 GT-T.

In terms of the colour, I don't think it matters.

sorry i meant 20,000. why would i have to repaint it? didn't get that. does the paint fade fast? and how much does it cost to paint the whole body? I was thinking about a GT-st with a reasonable mods on it already. would a dealer be the best place for a first buy?

What we meant by repaint was, when you purchase the new front bar, rear bar, skirts, etc, they'll be a different colour to your car (most likely). The respray is just to make your car and your kit's colour the same. You don't want mis-matching coloured bumpers.

I would recommend checking out private sales first. Dealers could get a bit dodgey, but private people can as well. Up to you really. Private is usually cheaper, think of it that way.

oh i see..how much does it costy in average to do a respray of a full body kit and spoiler? and are all the r33's originally turbocharged? if not how much does it cost to convert?

No, not all R33's were turbocharged. To convert, not sure, but I'm pretty sure it'll be best to buy turbo from the beginning.

A spray of the spoiler will be about $100-120? A bumper would be about $200-250? It really depends on the workshop, but those figures would be about right. Correct me if I'm wrong.
