TL;DR: Each to their fucking own.

Well compared to who? What exactly are you goals, what do you look like? I've been following your posts for a while in this section, some of them I don't particularly agree on (never said anything), and I have yet to see a photo of your physique or training log to see how you train, so the only thing to go on was after 8years of training you're still benching ~100kg, which is not particularly great considering that level can be achieved by most with less than 12months of training, regardless of what their goals are, but of course dependant upon their trainer.

Compared to me? The average person? I don't know, I don't care. I think you'll find most people (read: ectomorphs who don't use roids) can't bench a set of TEN reps @ 100kg within their first 12 months of training...you're certainly nowhere near it. Now consider that someone's goals may be to compliment the sport that they play with some supplementary strength, and that being a power lifter has no place within a game of AFL or tennis. I'm kind of tall, with dark brown piercing eyes, full lips and dark brown hair, which takes on a chocolate complexion in the summer light. I have somewhat olive skin, and I firmly believe in little to no hair below the neck.

Read it again, plenty of 10-20 rep sets.

Not really, most are low rep, but anyway, that's not the point. The point is, you're doing what you're doing and I'm not telling you that it's the wrong way to go about it or that you haven't learnt a thing in the time you've been training.

What level, please go into detail?

In a recent post by you weren't you asking about weight loss and best way to maintain an AFL-type physique IIRC? You should certainly know this after 8 years of messing around in the gym. Like I said above I've been following some of your posts and just found it strange some of the stuff you and talk about considering you have spent so many years training.

I think you have me confused for someone else, I already have an AFL-esque physique that I'm very happy with, and as an ectomorph I've never had to ask how to lose weight...to the contrary, I've shared my workout with ~8 people on here, who asked for it, and have either adopted it or modified it to suit themselves in some way. Key word being "asked", no bible bashing here.

I can guarantee you are nowhere near your limits, there is ALWAYS room to improve. You just have to want it, and have to train for it.

Where did I say I was at my limits? It's somewhat hypocritical and ignorant to profess to know what someone else's limits are, when you accuse them of not knowing their own limits. There are limits beyond the physical, too, son. I'm an insomniac, I rarely get a good sleep. That's not an excuse, but a good example of you not knowing a limitation to my training. I also don't have the dedication to diet or supplement myself properly and help push through plateaus...mental limits, these are...I'd rather eat whatever the f**k I want than putting myself on a nazi diet. This shit ain't my life, it just helps me get through life. That's nice for PTC, but I don't care. They're achieving their goals, good for them. This has NOTHING to do with my goals, at all. I don't look like a normal person, I'm stronger, better looking, and faster. They were my goals, I got there.

Let's settle this, Birds post up some physique shots. If you're not truly happy with where you are then my comment about learnt nothing in 8 years is quite valid...

I'm 99.9% happy, there's always something that I could change, and I do. Everyone has this. The mirror does that to you and it's just a fact of human psychology, but overall I'm quite content where I am. I had goals a long time ago and I reached them. Now I'm enjoying them. Does that fuck with your perfect white world of the forever goal-chasing power lifter? I don't know why posting physique shots to get your opinion on them is supposed to reflect my happyness with where I am? I'm into girls, not you. I'd rather listen to the hot slut who walked up to me in a club, said nice body and started macking on with me with no effort from me...that shit is much better than flexing my e-wang. Oops...

This is Jack, 20yo and less than 18 months TOTAL training time.

170kg bench press

245kg squat

250kg deadlift

When he started training he wieghed 110kg, he now weighs 150kg. body BUILDING.

He's built more muscle in the space of 18months than this whole forum put together, wasn't from doing cable flys....

He's had a 36% body weight gain...and this is a better increase than anyone on this forum? Me going from 63kg at the same height to 89kg with the same BF, then cutting down to 83kg just pales in comparison to this, apparently. Then his one rep max is 20kg more than he weighs? Okay, I pushed out TEN (count 'em) reps of 100kg at around 82kg body weight. I don't do diets, I don't supplement...I'm not even trying to be the strongest cunt there is. And while we're here...how many 20 year old behemoths weighing 110kg are representative of what the average person can achieve at the gym? Is this example a joke? By this logic, GHOSTrun, if you're not benching 170kg within 18 months then you're doing it all wrong and have learnt nothing.

And really, good for you Jack...

...but why you keep bringing other people into this thread as a tool of comparison, as if I give a shit, is beyond me. I told you I'm not competing in lifting or bodybuilding. I go to the gym to look good, to improve fitness and strength within my sports, and to be a little better off than the average punter in a street scuffle. Take your lifting competitions, bodybuilding, other people, whatever...elsewhere. I don't care.

No but I can tell from the training logs. Muscle lifts weight, not much weight being lifted on here, sorry.

Training logs? There are 7 build threads including yours and they are all along the lines of "I'm skinny and don't want to be". This is indicative of the gyming population on here, how?

Another example, Lee priest fat (off season), and in season (cut) comparison

Cool, he looks like shit to me. I look like shit to him. How many women would want to sleep with that? This might make your head and the heads of several communities explode, but there is such a thing as too much muscle and being too shredded, in the minds of most people. I don't dig it, neither do most females. If it makes him and other bodybuilders happy, then so be it. I think it's a very distorted version of what they originally set out to do when they joined a gym, and I'm quite familiar with how the bodybuilder psychology works, being built upon an obsession, but if it makes them happy and to them it looks good...then so be it. Just don't come to me telling me I'm doing it wrong or I don't know what I'm doing when I've had much longer to consider this than you.

Finally,

Birds it's come to my attention that u have way too much free time

It took you this long to realise? The best part is getting paid for it...

That's all I'm saying on that topic, questions have been answered, I'm done with this shit.

The birdasaurus is hungry nom nom nom

Anyways I jsut stick to the basics in terms of supplements.

I use a multivitamin that has natural test boosting (blackmores performance vitamin).

I use BCAA's - xtend brand

I use protein post workout with some super high GI sugar + plus shot of insulin

I use jack3d pre-workout

I take ethical nutrients fish oil tablets.

I take glucosamine

Before bed I have ZMA (zinc magnesium)

Still putting on the weight as the weeks go on :) Minimal fat gain (f**k yeh)

Sorry man, but for shits and giggles I had to take a picture of myself in the same pose you took this one......my f**king god does it make me look like shit. I'll give you one thing, you've got much bigger delts than me (most people do sigh...) though otherwise I think I just found another reason to laugh really hard at the last page or so of this thread. Even though I know you've said some kind words in my thread, I gotta say....delts are about ALL you have on me ;)

Also I have the guts to NOT crop off my ugly mug

"you both" being myself and him?

I agree. lol.

I don't get it though, I don't have any problems saying cunt, fuck, turkey, or any of those allegedly "filtered" words stupid.gif

Well for the rest of summer I'm not TRYING to put on weight per se, only build a bit more around certain areas. Once shit cools down/the season is coming to an end, I'm going to aim for 80kg+ by my birthday (June)

    • @soviet_merlin Thanks mate!  Nothing too major but will hold me up for a while. I've got lymphomas to get taken off the back of my neck and the middle of my spine which always conjures scary thoughts!  It sounds worse than it is. Yeah great, conjuring more rabbit hole deepening , just what I need! 🤣
    • I'd argue the F50 kit I got is very good value. For ~2k I got the calipers (refurbed condition), adapters, pads, brake lines, rotors, and top hats. I think you'd be pretty hard to get Evo/GTR/350z brembos + the additional hardware for similar money. Used market for a pair of front calipers alone I've seen tend to run anywhere from $1500-2000 depending on condition.    That said, something like a GTR or 350z brembo is a lot easier to adapt to the Silvia.
    • Is there a significant price difference between the Evo/gtr/350z brembos vs the F50? Looks amazing.
    • I was actually being a tightarse at the time LOL... My OCD is tickling me into running a 2nd 8AN Teflon hose all the way down and removing the 2x OEM hardlines. My other side of my brain is telling me to run 2x hardlines front to back (also acts as a fuel cooler, so win win).
    • As I mentioned in an earlier post, I had some trouble with the Silvia's brakes dragging back in 2023. I managed to sort it out then, but the same problem came back to bite me late last year. Just take a look at the picture – I had a feeling the handbrake was acting up again, and I was right. Anyway, I'd been wanting to upgrade to bigger brakes for a while. Not that the Silvia's brakes were bad, but it was more of a "want" than a "need", you know? It was funny, though – at the time, I couldn't find any Evo Brembos, 350Z Brembos, or GTR Brembos for a decent price (of course, tons of them popped up online after I already bought my kit!). I ended up going with an F50 Brembo kit, which came with adapters, brake lines, 330mm rotors, and top hats. The F50 Brembo caliper was used in a few other cars too, like the FPV. I also decided this was the perfect opportunity to ditch the Silvia's ridiculous rear brakes and that awful handbrake (some of you were definitely right about that!). I picked up some R33 calipers and all the necessary bits – rear drums, backing plates, and new hardware to refurbish the calipers. Of course, it wouldn't be a project without a few hiccups. Turns out the brake master cylinder was playing up and basically (to put it simply) keeping the brakes engaged. I had it overhauled, and after some adjustments, everything was working again. The whole process took a while, as you can imagine. To top it off, the front right wheel bearings were shot and needed replacing too. This is a rare occasion where I'm posting an update while it's all still fresh! These pictures were taken just this afternoon.
