Pec major Muscle.

http://radiology.rsna.org/content/210/3/785.figures-only

yes, sure its one muscle, with one insertion, but does in fact have two seperate origins

Let's let it go! I'm pretty sure there will be emg studies out there that show no difference in electrical activity between either pec head during incline bench.

If nothing else, it is something for everyone to think about I guess!

I have a question about this though. Maybe someone smarter then me can answer.

the lower part of my pecks, ie around the nipple is much puffier then the upper area.

why is that so?

If as Markos said, doing bench works the entire peck, then why hasn't mine grown evenly?

Is it as simple or complex as hormones? more fat stored lower? am I growing a vagina as TTT would say?

hahaha growing a vagina....

Yes there are two insertions (for pec minor, pec major) but starting with incline presses won't actually stimulate growth there too much more than a flat press. Hell, even if you do mill presses with a slight angle back on the bench your chest contracts.

Just jab an epipen into pec minor then hit your incline presses....

Figjam, doth thou even hoist?

lol kidding, but if you're really trying to gain size as you say, then yes, you will have deposited fat in your lower chest which gives you that sagging/bitch tits look. If you were to cut back some bodyfat your chest would probably look more like you want it to.

figjam is 70kg dripping wet.

he doesn't need to lose weight.

Here's what you do.

those wanting to focus on hitting the upper anterior middle pec - DO SQUATS

those wanting to get rid of the puffy lady nipple area - DO SQUATS

those using 1.25kg increments on deadlifts - DO SQUATS

those wanting to get cut-for-summer - DO SQUATS

those wanting to get farkenhayuuuugebro - DO SQUATS

those wanting to cure cancer - DO SQUATS

those who feel that their wang is heading inwards to become and inside out penis like vagina - DO SQUATS...... and grow a beard.

I'm totally with you TTT about the squats, but he (tm7gtr) said he needs to lose bodyfat, not weight. which he does if he wants to get rid of saggy nips.

The muscle building that creates the shape sure as hell counters it though. And will contribute a long way to being muscular and lean

I agree, I wouldn't focus on losing fat if muscle/size was the intention.

but fat is fat, whether it's over big muscles or little muscles.

if he wants shape he needs bigger muscles.

If he wants a lean look, he has to be lean, if he developed big pecks and never lost the fat, he will still have saggers

Paraplegic? DO SQUATS

Anyone concerned with building body shape always worries about their pecs, and rightly so: pecs are weird in shape, they differ for everyone, probably more so than abs. And yes, they often look more like saggy, girly A cups when you first start to build some muscle there...but the trick is to just build more muscle, because eventually pecs get big enough to "even" out a little bit and occupy more of the "upper chest" as some call it. And yes, body fat can be responsive for flab making them look saggier. The way you stand with your posture will change their appearance too. Shoulders back motherf**ker.

I still don't like my side on profile, but it's much better than it was when I first started gaining muscle there. In short, lift moar.

As big as Arnie was, even in the pic below you can see that the pec is bigger down low...it's the natural seating of the muscle. But he has so much muscle there that they've taken on a pronounced shape of their own...somewhat independant of natural bone structure...and no one would ever say he needs to work on his inclines.

I get the puffy nips sometimes (generally in hotter weather), feelsbadman.

I've seen a few people who are 70kg and look bigger than someone who is 90kg so don't know where all this generalisation that 70kg is skinny...Will depend on height though.

lol

last night I didn't start my workout like usual with squats or deadlifts as I wanted to work on my bench and pressing exclusively... weirdly even though I did about 8 different exercises it didn't feel like a workout... I wasn't tired (apart from a massive delt/tricep pump) and I left feeling unsatisfied and annoyed...

plus I missed a paused 120 bench... I now have 10 days to get this lift or I'm going to have a tantrum in front of a whole bunch of people

    • If that's the wiring from the factory, I'd be inspecting the loom everywhere.   Any signs of that anywhere else, and seriously, I'd get rid of the car ASAP before the electrical gremlins make it worthless, or it goes up in flames on its own. That is scary how that insulation is failing!
    • I should note too as I have all 4 wheel speed inputs to the emtron I now have the emtron controlling the attessa solenoid for 4wd/traction and launch control strategies.
    • It works quite well with the adjustibility within each of the programs of the turbolamik. Essentially p1 is drive and lockup comes on like a normal driver.  But in program 7 I have customised it to not request the lockup clutch to engage until something like 6500/7 when slip was the lowest.
    • Yep, I like that. The tags are only on the first post of a thread and we don't get huge numbers of new threads. Also, I plan to add some more report types and we could have a member report type like 'review tags' then members could flag if they thought a topic wasn't tagged correctly.  No way man, I dig the input. Thanks!
    • It's a valid thought. There's not exactly that functionality already (when creating a thread) - that's where the OP can use/create any tag they want. We'd have to come up with a way for the user to request their tags get reviewed or something. Otherwise the mods would have to review every new post's tags (for those that have them, anyway). There's kind of that functionality already exists to some extent, post facto of starting the thread, where the OP or any other user could report the post to admins, and request that tags get reviewed. We could do this already, and any user could already have made such a request. To make it a part of the forum proper, it would require an initial and an ongoing education programme, so that people know that it's a thing. OP based tagging/request for review would also require at least some (probably most) of the user base to be told that it's a thing they can do. Both of these things probably wouldn't spread too far and/or get used very much. If it was the standard approach on a lot of different sites, then it might do, because people would be used to it. Prank's approach to this differs from my original thought, by leaning into tagging. Which is fine - it's possibly better than what I originally suggested. In fact, I just went to the R32 GTR wiring diagram thread and added tags, including "Library". That's probably a good way to use tags and the idea of a library. We just have to drag together an (organised!) index of threads or posts that have that tag. I have yet to do any of my own follow up by pursuing worthy threads and posts and reporting/marking/tagging them for the library, such as the @Sydneykid stuff I was talking about, and possibly any amount of @Lithium 's and others' posts. At least if I tag them Library, we'll have a start.   Back to @Wazmond's idea as it relates to @PranK's, we might have some sort of a list of tags that are already used to scrape for this library. I'm not entirely sure how that would be presented or used, particularly if it got long. But it's yet another idea!   cheers
