While you're all talking supps etc, any reason I shouldn't get some creatine, specifically to aid in recovery? Everything I'm reading tells me it should help me recover faster.

Creatine does plenty of things that are benifits, not just recovery. google it. You will need to ensure your water intake is increased.

Having said that I don't start taking it till I am serious (not doing so at the moment) as you need to routinely take it. Don't take my reason as a good one for not trying it. Some people find different forms of creatine will upset their digestion and experience negative side effects including headaches.

Beta alanaine also works. It works as a pH buffer if taken longer term, increasing carnosine concentrations in the body. It has training benifits when supplimented longer term. 10-12 weeks and concentrations of carnosine may go up as much as 80%. That will lead to greater anaerobic and anaerobic muscle endurance, more explosive power and therefore excersise capacity increases. It will take 3-4 weeks to see the results. This stuff does however have some side effects that some can find uncomfortable. Again google it.

At the moment I just have a WPI post workout and on the off days, it has something like 5.5g of BCAAs in it also which are supposedly beneficial as well.

The other option I've hear about was glutamine.

I don't wanna clog this thread, but I'd also appreciate of any if you knowledgeable folk could take a look at the last post in my build thread and comment.

WPI and Glutamine are good suppliments if you need the dietery help. Glutamine is pre and post workout usefull if you want a fast absorbing ammino , it's the most utilised amino muscle growth wise. But, arguably WPI is enough on it's own. It's just a fast absorbing form of food afterall.

If you eat well enough arguably you don't need either. However, if you are like me and have a habbit of skipping meals or eating poorly it's a good strategy.

have taken creatine in the past. Never noticed any difference to my workouts. I like the taste of the GAT one which is why I consider taking it. Otherwise have seen no benefits for myself except for a painful stomach.

That being said, my cousin swears by it.

Each to their own?

Yeah we'll see how it goes. It also ties into the question I was asking in my build thread, but I'm not lifting any decent numbers, or trying to, so nobody reads it lol.

Question relates to failed curl sets towards the end of routine (usually around 45mins in)

I moved them right to the end as per everyone suggestion that I was "curling like a bro" but have found that even with 2 and sometimes 3min breaks I'm still failing on the last or last 2 reps. Simply too much weight for me? I'd have thought I'd be betting stronger given less curling (more recoery time) bigger breaks etc but I'm wondering if adding weight to other things is using up what strength I have to do curls by the time I get there. More details in the thread though.

as soon as people start talking about gear it sounds like another language... I have NFI what people are on about

Great analogy about wasting money on cars Tolga... so true

each to their own I guess but at least having a stupidly quick car is an experience... juicing for the sake of vanity just seems... vain

Now guess which one will get you killed quicker :P

lol... my bet that kid was slamming recreational drugs... less to do with steroids, more likely due to amphetamine use... but that's just my opinion from limited understanding of the situation

anything can get you killed if you don't know what your doing... like crossing the street

but I agree, 600hp can kill you pretty fckn quickly

Enlarged heart, high blood pressure (he wasn't aware of the enlarged heart)

Pretty sure steroids won't affect your heart that much unless it's clen, which can target smooth muscles (like that of cardiovascular muscle) leading to palpitations, cardiac hypertrophy, etc.

EDIT: The fact that he never did cardio didn't help either...

I remember him saying in an interview that he never ate anything sweet or sugary; one of the reasons he had such a low bf. f**k that for a joke. Is it possible for that to cause low blood sugar? There are sugars in not necessarily sweet foods, but if you're keto dieting, you're probably checking the packs of foods to make sure no carbs.
