3000km apart must make things difficult, but the reunions all the more fun.

think you said earlier that your body type is more ectomorph then anything else yeah?

I won't lie, it's frikken hard...but she's worth it :)

Yes my body type is ectomorph. Training for years has, however, given me some mesomorph-like traits; I can very easily gain or lose weight.

I remember being 80kg too......in high school, At my best I was 25 and weighed in at 110kg with 3% body fat, I know what im taking about for my body and I guess everyone has diff results on diff diets.

Ive only just started going back to the gym after 2 years off with the new business venture and a baby, but I assure you eating bread is not helping your body reach its full potential and if your only doing 4 hours or excersice per week and have a six pack that just means your skinny and your metabolism burns fat faster than 80% of other people.

I dare anyone to come train with me now, I think even after 2 years off I could still lift quite well.

Birdy im not hating on bread but those carbs you talk about as energy is better taken from other foods where the body works differently to extract the energy, and if you had the same amount of carbs from better food your workout would be far more intense.

Again I invite anyone to come train with me for a night, Ill prove through my workout Im not talking shit.

It doesn't matter...you said bread won't allow you a six pack...I'm proof that it can. Yes I could get bigger or stronger with a better diet, but I love every single meal I eat and never feel like I'm restricting myself. Yet I'm also what many would consider fairly strong with a decent looking body to boot.

Can have my cake and eat it too :)

Got any pics of 3% and 110kg? That's quite a heavy weight for the bf, I'd love to see it.

No mention of height or what your goal was or what you lifted, so this could very well be absolute fail city if you weren't squatting over 200 and DL'ing WELL over 200.

Even still, not everybody is out to get "big" some people want to be ripped, some people want to be big and give no f**ks for definition, some people want to be strong and give no f**ks for looks.

All are acceptable goals.

If we can avoid the pissing contest that would be ace.

To be fair, you walked into this thread, with a bunch of guys (and Leesh) who at least talk shit to each other on the regular, and started kicking sand around, that's not going to win you any friends even if what you say is fully or partially correct.

I also think Birds is too skinny, but he has a look he wants and he's going for that. Even if my lifts were better than his it would still be fine for him to aim for whatever goal he wanted using whatever diet.

Nah im not throwing sand lol, just sharing my 10 years of trial and error. I actually just want to help you but you do whatever you want in the end, its not up to me what you put in your body. and for the record im 178cm tall or 5ft 10

It's cool dude, everyone is entitled to an opinion and for lots of us it's trial an error, unless you train with Markos then it's just success success success :D

3% does seem low though, DEXA scan I assume?

110kg @ 3%

As a reference, in Pumping Iron, Arnold weighed 235lb, thats 106kg, maybe 6%

Im well aware of arnods size and measurements and bf % was much lower than 6% i assure you.

And again Im happy to go do a workout with anyone in SA at my gym, and in about 8 months time i should be back to where I was 2 years ago, I think one of my close friends has a few photos of me back then ill try and find them if you really need to see them.

nah, worse lol we wont get into that but its not fun I assure you, only did it once and the experience was horrible, will never do it again.

    • Hey guys, Just thought it might be of interest to owners of the RB25 det NEO motor, that awesomeness Nitto are in the late process to produce an engine gasket kit by end of Jan 25.  I think obviously there will be an 25det kit too. cheers, Ian

    • Shortly after I do the usual full exhaust/ fmic/fuel pump/ R33 turbo and still get flogged at the lights by i30Ns

    • Bumping this thread yet again, has anyone ever tried putting yet another vacuum regulating valve on the hose that goes between the turbo inlet? Something local owners have mentioned is the Radium breather pipes de-restrict the valve cover but it actually produces an undesirable outcome in practice, way too much air is sucked out of the crankcase and a ton of oil comes with it as well. As far as I can tell the PCV diaphragm in these modern euro wet sump performance engines is active during boost as well, there's just a check valve to block boost from entering the valve cover and crankcase as there's no inherent check valve function in these diaphragm-type valves. Hopefully I'll be able to try some of this out soon. The Volvo XC90 4.4 V8 has a nice external version of these things.
