Deads are coming along again after a deload, only warm up weight for some but on my last 2 sets today I managed 5 x 150kg then 3 X 160kg, I should have only gone to 155kg and will drop my last set to 155kg next time.

I did manage a good 270kg from the top of the knee to lock out on my last set of 5 x 1 of them though, started at 250kg and went up by 5, I did make some noise though.

I am going to rotate between 3 x 8 deficit and 5 x 1 knee height to try and keep it slowly going up.

Sorted out all those injuries that prevent you from progressing yet Dan?

Is this supposed to be a thinly veiled jab somehow? Despite me having already said I wouldn't be lecturing anyone based on having injured myself with poor form/mechanics? If so, lol

100kg x 7 on bench, I think that's a pb for me!

Nice job dude. I'm slowly bringing up that 3rd incline set, started out at 54kg and the bar was very hard to control, now got about 75 on it and managing 10 reps (just) after doing 10 then 8 at of flat something just over 100, think it's like 102.5 or so.

Thinking I might drop the second flat bench set and swap in another incline set as I don't want too big man titties (I have cut eating also to assist until I can do some decent cardio again).

Mine are big enough now. I don't want them to be any bigger to make it easier when my metabolism slows more and I find it harder to change weight as easy.

My thinking is that as I get older I'll slowly lean off a bit over time to avoid sag if possible lol

Hahah, that's my thinking too, but I more so mean I'll step down in weights and move more into cardio as I get older. For that leaner less bulky look and hopefully that will help keep me tight like a tiger.

What's a better game plan then, legit question.

My theory is if the muscle is a little smaller through lighter weights higher reps and my body fat is lower through cardio and diet I should be OK.

I know muscle itself doesn't sag but the connective tissues do. Less weight on those would help.

Less fat is always going to help.

All old people sag - fact. No training will avoid that. Even skinny low fat triathlete oldies sag. You either get lucky or you don't.

Look at Stallone...as roided up as he is, he's in top nick for a man in his 60s...very defined...but you can see the age; you can see the sag. Nothing can be done. Deal wit it.

Keep the fat off and that's the best you can do.

    • Sounds like it may all just be some baseless outrage stoked by the carexplore guy? As in the linked social media outrage on facebook just goes back to carexplore as a source again. Further shown by the council response that nothing actually has changed: "The Private Land Use Permit has been part of the Casey Community Local Law for a number of years. It's important to clarify that this permit is not new, and no changes have been made to the permit or the Local Law in relation to the permit." The full council response in Prank's link sounds reasonable to me. Saying that as someone who neither lives there nor has a front yard to call their own
    • Clutch hydraulics are also all good, looks like a brand new slave cylinder and everything bled up well. No idea what the actual clutch is, and I don't intend to pull the box off on the floor to find out, so unless we have trouble on the dyno or at shakedown that will remain a mystery for the new owner
    • Front brakes are G4 8 pot calipers over 330mm discs with braided lines. Everything looks good, pretty sure these are off my old 350. Pads are brand new and judging from gold colour are Winmax which is what I also run on my race car, Neil and I both sourced brake stuff from Matty at Racebrakes Sydney who really knows his stuff Everything has bled up nicely with all new Motul RBF600 fluid, there were 2 loose hard line connections and the calipers were new on the car so I ended up doing it 3 times but it is perfect now
    • So, starting with the rear brakes. They look like standard R33 GTST, and will need new pads shortly (less than 5mm material, probably only 1 day left). The slotted discs (probably DBA) are near new at 18.01mm and the lines are braided
