Ok so I figured I am "well" enough now to slip back into gym....

My god was that one half arsed depressing session lol. Possibly due to having just consumed like 500ml of chocolate milk, but the whole time I felt like shit.

what do you guys suggest for cardio, running/ jogging especially,

i was given crazy shit called.... i think hemorage "Hemo Rage" lol made you feel as it sounds.

i have quite allot of muscle but fat also and i have become fond of running. i can run 5k constantly now.

i want something that will accelerate the fat burning but wont just make me puffed quicker. suggestions?

brought some GAT Testagen (testosterone) pills, will let you know how they go.

also got GAT JetFuse NOX see if its better then Jacked3D

Also GAT Creatine, this will be the second batch im on, really enjoy the flavor, I actually look forward to having it of a night time so I recommend people to take it.

T-boosters are a waste of money buddy.. unless your levels are naturally low they won't do much (especially if they're natural testosterone boosters) other than giving you plenty of unwanted boners.. Other than that you could (although some what unlikely unless it's hereditary) get mild acne, hair loss, and gynecomastia - bitch tits.

Roids are the only thing that works. A big reason they are illegal is that they work. The reason none of the so-called test boosters aren't banned or illegal is that they absolutely do nothing.

If your natural levels of testosterone are low then first make sure you get enough basic nutrition.

The best supplement to get the 'natural levels'up is combination of zinc, magnesium & B6 in a tablet, if you are deficient in these nutrients. Cenovis brand is $7 for 100 at the local coles. There is some evidence behind this suppliment.

Some of the 'test boosters ' contain zinc and that's about the only scientifically proven part of the formula that will help. But, again it's a rip off when a $7 bottle of Zinc tablets will do the same job.

Work harder in the Gym and eat. If you don't do that right even roids are a waste of money.

hear what you're saying and have heard that unless natural test is down a supplement wont do much. That being said my levels are fine and the last time i got on a test supplement I did see improvements in my lifts. Placebo effect maybe but ill see how I go and let you know if there are any noticeable differences.

Agreed, except I only half-agree with your last statement; many of us know blokes who are on gear whose lifting and dietary discipline is completely rubbish, but they still get results. But, as you say, it's still a waste of money. If one were to actually bother going down that route and spend that dosh on gear you would at least maximise the bang for your buck.

Studies like this one have shown that doing stuff all exercise while on the juice will still get you just as much if not more lean muscle mass than those who lift naturally.

The only thing that puzzles me about that study is that they trained the exercise groups at 6 reps during the treatment period, before commenting that the placebo groups with exercise didn't see much of an increase at all in muscle size. Well that's because they weren't training in the hypertrophy rep range lol rolleyes.gif

People with muscle wasting diseases are often on steroids as treatment, they can't workout often due to the illness but, they don't have a sideline career as champion body builders either. There is ceiling to the gains where muscle stimulus and diet are concerned.

The same principles apply for muscle growth regardless.

Also you want to have significant muscle growth then there must be a decent amount of working out done to avoid the rather serious side effects you will encounter in not doing so. Water retention and fat accumulation are serious enough but, going on body building style cycles without serious diet and effort brings pain.

Roids are definitely very powerful but, you still have genetics and the usual factors putting a lid on the potential.

OK, based on the advice you guys have given me it seems my workout isn't the best, so I'm trying to come up with another program.

What about this one? Ryan Hughes Muscle Building Program Ignoring all the supplement advertising etc, it still appeals to me because its *mostly* free weights which I can do from home. However I am getting a chin up bar and possibly a squat rack next week.

Is it also true that you should only work one muscle group once a week? E.g. the above workout is split into 5 sections, each focusing on one section of the body (chest, legs, shoulders, arms back). Would love to know if there's any truth in that..

If you're a beginner, compound lifts are generally a good way to start, three times a week on non-consecutive days. Just a quick point though, there's no set in stone routines when it comes to any aspect of fitness. So yes there is truth that you should work one muscle group once a week (splits), but then again it's also true that you should combine body parts and train each part more than once a week (compound lift routines, doubling up on areas you feel are lagging behind.

In other words, switch it up every other week/month, experiment with different exercises, and listen to your body. If you work on a set routine for too long you won't enjoy the journey as much.

But then again, this is just my advice... gain as much knowledge as you can, then make your own decisions based on your personal requirements thumbsup.gif

I wouldn't call myself a beginner, but then again I haven't made as much progress as I'd like. It is hard as I'm a skinny bloke, I don't gain as easily as some.

The truth of the matter though is I probably let myself go a bit too much on the weekend with bad eating/drinking/sleeping habits, which then carry their own consequences forward for the rest of the week.

one thing I have noticed over the past 6-8months hard work pays off. I am in no way shape or form an impressive specimen but I have been training alot harder, more regularly and I have gotten bigger. I am also a skinny guy, just under 6ft and only just hitting 70kg.

if my diet was in check i'd wager my gains would be even better.

mate just do a simple full body workout, 3 times a week and eat right.

Squat 3 x 10

Bench press 3 x 8

Bent row 3 x 8

Military press 3 x 8

Deadlift 3 x 8

BB curl or chins 3 x 8

increase the weight the next session if you managed to get the sets and reps as listed.

Trust me... you are a beginner

we all are.

It's not hard because you are skinny..

It's hard because it's fu**ing hard.

A fat guy has to try and lose weight while lifting weights.. so they are on a calorie deficit.

You get to eat like a machine... then when you're full, eat some more.

Yep, getting real sick of ectomorphs bitching that it's hard coz they're skinny. I'd kill for that to be my biggest problem gym wise... As mentioned above you don't have to think about the food you eat at all. Just eat, then eat some more

I came back from a 6 week overseas holiday and I'm doing beginners programs again. It doesn't matter how long you have been training for overall, its a quick way to gain strength, although no program will work forever...I'll change it up once I stop seeing gains.

Just find someone with the kind of body you want, ask them how they got there, then emulate what they did. Throw in some genetics and everyone is different blah blah blah. There is a billion different routines out there and the world will never stop arguing on what is best way to do what. Fuck, if I had a dollar for every time I bumped into the skinny friend at the gym who never does exactly what I tell him...instead he's always trying this new work out and telling me how effective it's been for him so far...then he goes off and does his 5 different bicep exercises. These guys NEVER SEEM TO GROW. They need to do exactly what someone much bigger/stronger than them is doing, from the hard work to the eating and sleeping. In the end you can't argue with results...so find them and then find out exactly how they got them. THEN DO IT.

Also tired of ectomorph excuses. As a fellow ectomorph, I take offence to your inability to gain weight. It's as bad as endomorph excuses for not being able to lose weight - stop eating so fucking much!

As a ectomorph i get tired of endos and meses telling me "just eat more" when I already eat to the point of throwing up. Just going to throw it out there, its as hard for some people to eat as it is for others not to eat.

End of the day being ecto or endo or mes is just a hurdle. Not impossible to gain, loose or improve.

    • 49719 is the cooler loop. Right at the front, LHS of that diagram. Return line from rack (LP side) goes to cooler loop on RHS front of car, then back under engine and returns to bottom of tank. 49717M is feed from tank to pump. HP line out of pump is thick rubber, followed by the hard line that runs down to crossmember and runs in parallel (but opposite flow direction) to the LP return line. Nothing goes anywhere near the firewall or interior of car. The closest they get to that is the connections on the rack.
    • Thanks, plan is to drain all fluid tomorrow and do smoke test to find out the leak.   Appreciate your help and want to understand how the system work. So cooling is achieved by the long loop not any rad? The diagram seems to suggest it connects to somewhere inside the cabin and I thought that is a cooler inside firewall. If you look at the diagram it seems to show it connects to something inside firewall. I tried chasing it but not easy unless I take loads off   i am confident pump is good as fluid goes in and it gets soft( steering) but as soon as I turn engine off , loads of bubble come to surface and overflow. When engine is on , fluid level is below minimum but when off it shoots off and thinking it is sucking air in. I suspect aluminium pipe may have a crack line or whole   smoke test with no fluid should be a good start and if needed will remove the pump   In addition, the one going under the engine bay is high pressure line and one directly connecting from pump to resorvoir is return/ low pressure?   finally I searched and suggestion is to use dexron 2 but that is discontinued so bought dexron 3 as all research suggest it is compatible and shouldn’t cause any issues/ blow seals. I bought two liter of dexron 3 motul atf
    • Don't worry about. Just don't try to drive hard enough to make boost and you'll be fine.
    • Yes. This has already been said. It is a loop of hardline in front of the radiator. Because.... the pump is on the LHS and the steering rack hydraulic connections are where they always are on a RHD steering rack....on the RHS. The high pressure line goes down under the engine, along the crossmember, like it does on all Skylines. Don't just throw expensive braided hoses/other kits at it. Work out what is wrong and fix that.
    • Still got the afm on the intake, clamps are shut tight, only loose hose is the one that goes from the j pipe towards the IACV, since it's next to impossible to find a factory hose and the barbs are different sizes (I'm still using clamps on this hose to try and help it seal on the iacv side) I've ordered parts to make up the hotside of the intercooler pipes, I'll plumb it in and see what happens in a few days I suppose The turbo's internally gated, can I just unscrew the tension rod to let the gate open?
