Thank god mate.. otherwise you would have just melted away or have to resort to eating chicken, beef, eggs and weird shit like that.. Trozzle
Thank god mate.. otherwise you would have just melted away or have to resort to eating chicken, beef, eggs and weird shit like that.. Shut up I know it's just a supplement, but I hate having an eating routine thrown out of rhythm when something isn't available. Lately I've barely been making use of protein shakes and have been relying almost entirely on chicken breast mince (and now Kangaroo mince due to not being able to get chicken) for the bulk of my protein intake. I just like to make things simple and easier to manage - WPI makes it so much easier. Trozzle
squating takes care of a protein deficit Or for the real squatters who aren't doing namby pamby squats, it will help add to a protein deficit. HAHA! I love how there are recommendations on servings on a lot of products. Take a scoop morning, lunch, tea......no, just eat. darksky34
someone should have told me about the 'stop 1 from your max reps' rule before, the other week i was doing bench and then I got to 7/10 and at the top of 7, i thought "hold on i'm tired maybe ill let it down slowly to rest and then i can push back up" = ended up with holding the bar above my chest, only able to push it up halfway and not high enough to set back on the racks...guy from the next rack came to help me. TTT
You're tired from pushing it up, and thought that you should bring it down slowly and then push it back up? Son.. you just went full retard. Birds
Bench doesn't quite work like squats haha. Once you're out of energy, you're finished. darksky34
well i was actually benching my lowest weight, but this was at the end of my workout so I kind of did AND didn't take that into account. Bench doesn't quite work like squats haha. Once you're out of energy, you're finished. I know that now.......hah.... -FIGJAM-
tonight at the gym i had a bit of a funny moment. had to do squats, but the squat rack wasnt free so I jumped on the smith. Anyway after the first set, I had real lower back pain. To cut a long story short, after the second and third set, no more pain. Squats really does cure bad backs..... or maybe better form, not sure. TM7GTR
Or your body just offloaded that pain and discomfort on the surrounding stabilising muscles, and an injury/imbalance is soon to occur. Wait what? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/200767-gym-and-supplement-discussion/page/228/#findComment-6616247 Share on other sites
Birds
Just a theory that the experts can correct me on, but I would have thought the fixed bar position of the smith machine would cause all sorts of form issues because the bar should move around to suit your body's movement, not the other way around? Smith machine seems too linearly up and down...
