Nuts are the worst thing to suck on. I just can't f**king stop sucking them once I start!!

Come on man, this is a PG forum.

Squats help with addiction.

Squats cure gheys

I wouldn't so much say they cure them, but they certainly make it clear who they are - they're the ones shitting themselves on the way back up from worn out sphincters.

yeah i didnt like it either, but had to be done. The alternative was to leave without squating or wait 20 minutes for it.

funny thing, because my current routine jumps around the body for push pull, earlier in the routine I did standing military with the Olympic bar. Don't know why but it felt so much better then using just a normal barbell.

Why don't you make Barbell exercises primary?

20mins isn't so bad to wait if it's before you've started especially if you include warm up/stretches

No squats is > than doing it in a smith machine. You'll injure yourself....

Love smashing these legs. No squats makes me cry inside tho :(

Trying Maxs mass gainer cookies & cream, omg so nice!!

My mix I made up is horrid, but with a cple of scoops of max irs like a party in my mouth, without nuts!!

Bloated gut the morning after binging....had a heap of home made banana cake last night at parent's place, followed by like a third of a jar of organic peanut butter on rye biscuits.

Not even unhealthy!! hahahaha I've mentally conditioned myself a bit too far I think lol

Oh also on the subject of smith machine squats vs nothing - if the power cages are all taken, consider doing some goblet squats while you wait.

I'm sure you probably know what they are, but in case you don't they're where you hold a dumbbell vertically under your chin against your chest and squat with it there. I will generally use a 40kg dumbbell, so obviously you can tell this isn't particularly a leg exercise; but my god does it work your core.

At least this will kill some time while you wait to do real squats.

or why not hold dumbells (2 x 25kg etc) above shoulders like doing a shoulder press and then squat like that? or even, using the fixed barbells for squats without a cage, cos they usually aren't so heavy that you need a cage anyway and still are solid squats. just not the weight...but can focus on reps

Dumbell squats! Hold them like suitcases...don't need a cage cause you can just lower them to the floor. My gym has 65kg dumbells, so not as if you're getting off easy.

Shit even leg press isn't a bad alternative.

barbell front squats... you will find even light weight quite difficult and you won't need the cage... pick it up as you would a deadlift... hang clean it to your shoulders... front squat

great for your quads

Definently agree with this. Front squats are the business!

Hey mate... this is how eating disorders start..

I'm not joking.

Hey mate... this is how eating disorders start..

I'm not joking.

Exactly what do you mean by disorder? As in, skinny or fat direction?

I agree though, I can't necessarily 'enjoy' food any more. If you mean eating disorder that sees me unable to eat 99% of available foods because I see them as "unhealthy" and "fattening" then I agree and see why you mean.

I'll have a hugely relaxed mindset over the Christmas period, then again as soon as Summer is over I'm going to relax it again (since shirt will be staying on a lot more lol) and start aiming for some real gains. Depending on a lot of variables like injury etc, I'm going to aim for 225kg deadlift by end of winter next year, which I hope to be able to maintain while I cut back to somewhere around 75kg for summer - ideally achieving triple bodyweight deadlift.

I'm undoubtedly setting slightly unrealistic goals here, but yeah...

Troy - I meant heading towards skinny.

A mate from another forum was 85kg and lean.. but wanted to get to single digits, so cut some more..

got to single digits but still wanted to get even tighter around the lower abs and obliques (he already was but at this stage he was well on his way to his problem.)

got down to 78kg and was lean as.

then, just like you say, he wanted to hold on to it, so stayed away from certain foods, just basically went to the extreme with food, training, sleep, timing of when he eats and what, timing around lifting, rest, duration or sets etc etc.

Anyway, he dissapeared off the forums for about 4 months and made a return.

When he came back online, he eventualy posted a thread titled "Guys, I've got a problem"

he told his story as above and then said that he'd been sick and then said he was 43kg and posted a picture.

I shit you not, it was a scary sight.

a skeleton of a man.

a long 18 months later he was back to a light 70kg.

he had to see a psychologist 3 times a week, a nutritionist 2 times a week and his doctor once a week.

for months they tried to get his blood work to how it should be for his age, but his body was f**ked up and wouldn't produce hormones like youd expect a mid 20's guy who used to lift.

Eventually had to be put on TRT.

It took him AGES to get his mind right and stop seeing himself as fat (even when he was around 50kg)

He is now 95kg, has benched close to 150, squats 200 and deadlifts 240

and is still fairly lean.

long story but I'm sure you can see some similarities from the story to what goes through your head.

Be careful mate.

Mitch - Do I need to remind you how to fix that?

    • I did a bit of googling, the color MCM used was Galaxy Grey from House of Kolor. This is actually a colour I picked out about ~10+ years ago (or more). This one is a stock BMW colour, I guess over the years I figured it was smart to get an OEM colour that was pretty common for all of those sensible reasons one can think of..
    • I absolutely love having clean wheels and also totally love cleaning them. Its not as important to me to have a clean car exterior as it is to have clean wheels. So I bought a kit. I generally use different products for my wheels than anything else, so I thought I'd buy a proper kit and bucket to keep it all in. I got this one from Waxit. I also got the CQuartz wheel and plastic ceramic along with a bunch more application micro fibre pads as CQuartz never provide enough.  The kit was good, but as usual the big, long spongey thing didn't fit between my spokes, so I needed to use a detailing brush and a larger brush that I already owned (been doing this forever, the spokes on these wheels are frustrating.) I did a full clean with the wheel cleaner, it has an iron killing product in it, so I found that I could just use the cleaner and nothing else on the wheels. The tyre cleaner and handled brush were awesome. Made cleaning the tyres so easy. Once everything was clean, I decontaminated with isopropyl and applied the ceramic. Two coats. I bought 2 bottles as I have a lot of wheels to do, half of one bottle did two coats on these. The X5 has 20's so I reckon probably 3/4 on that. Then, for possibly the best part, the wheel cleaning kit comes with a tyre black applicator. But, this is possibly the greatest sponge of all time - its a great size, quite stiff and HAS A COVER! When you finish applying the black, you just put the cover back on! This is revolutionary, I normally have to try and find safe places to put my tyre black applicators as they are covered in silicone and tyre crap. Or, you use something which just falls apart. This applicator is the bee's knee's. Get one. It's worth it. The tyre black is also like a cream, its very thick but goes on really thin, its very easy to use with the applicator. Ayway, after a big clean, decontam, ceramic coat and tyre black the wheels went back on and they look awesome.   Thought I'd share.
    • Haha. Good work. I feel some of your pain because I spent a bunch of time under my car over the period too. Probably nowhere near as much as you did. My happiness is similarly improved by obtaining a desired result though. Those side skirts are.....hecking. Very unfriendly for street and hoist. Sounds to me like you've made a cart that needs to be driven up only planks/blocks at a 2 post hoist, rather than trying to get it up onto a 4 poster. It's very pretty, by the way. Somewhat reminiscent of Marty's squid ink on SuperGramps - at least in the photos.

    • ATTAKD 356mm Brake Kit for R34 GTT or R33 GTST. Same brake kit as per here from JJ: https://justjap.com/products/attkd-brake-kit-nissan-skyline-r34-99-02?currency=AUD Can confirm these will bolt directly to a R33 GTST with 12mm bolts OR to a R34 GTT (which is what I had) with the supplied bolts and the collets for the 14mm bolt holes in the R34, which are included. Also included is a set of rotors and hats, as well as 2x brake pad sets. 1) DBA XP (street, hills) 2) Forza FR6 (track) These are radial mounted and bolt directly to R33/R34. You will need extended brake lines to avoid them being full stretch on lock - this is common for all BBK's with the bolt point being in the center. In my case I welded another stud about 25mm lower than the OEM one and retained stock lines and fittings. You'll want a BM57 BMC to get the most out of these. I speak from experience. $1800 (neg for SAU people), located SE Suburbs Melbourne.
