A carb is not a carb. A sugar drink is not the same as a bowl of oats.

1000 calories of big m is not the same as 1000 calories of steak.

Your body utilises proteins different to sugars, and fats different to either also.

I mean, that's pure basics. Why do you take a protein shake after a workout and not a tub of lard??? It's common sense, your body uses different

macro's for different things.

And fruit is not a ball of sugar. It's natural, comes from the ground, is full of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, fibre and is just down right good for you.

A healthy body is a happy body, and a happy body is ALOT easier to work with.

While you didn't directly say everything that comes from the ground is good for you, in certain situations in life - like when making a statement or declaration to police - this wording could be construed to mean exactly that.

A statement to police, you've got to be joking.

I was talking about fruit, you know, what you buy at a fruit shop.

Seriously, if you guys wanted to act like retards, then you'll be treated like retards.

F this i'm out

Loving 1.25kg plates...been using them to step up bench and, whilst I do notice they are on there (2.5kg increase combined)...after a week or two of the new weight, I'm doing the same reps as I did before I put the plates on.

Troy, whatever you're doing, keep doing it, and share some of it around, f**k. It's like you grew a chest in 1.5months.

Coz of the current tone of this thread, I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not lol.

I'll assume you're not, so yeah over the last couple of months I've focused much more on incline press than just flat bench. Likely culprit.

Did you not used to have them? I doubt I could progress without them on bench!

I can't bare putting those little f**kers on... I know I should but they just look so silly!

yes, the usefulness of small weights are so underestimated - people always worry about how much weight it looks like they have on their bar (this is so stupid) but screw that, use those small weights to make your improvement each week!

edit: HAHAHA nick i was typing that and as soon as i posted, yours appears before mine: point illustrated.

could if you squatted more....

have looked for those little plates, swear there are only two at the gym i go to

when I first looked at the pics I was thinking pretty good improvement for 12 months... then I saw his post, 6 weeks! WTF dude

They were always there, but pretty much what Nick said. There's some psychological barrier about using them, like you're not making much difference by putting them on or it'll be a pointless increase. Only ever stepped up with 2.5kg or 5kg plates. But when you rationalise it, 1.25kg plates, even every 2 weeks is a good increase. You give it 2 months and that's a potential 10kg on your bench, just takes patience. I doubt that by adding 10kg straight up, you would accommodate the reps after 2 months (unless you're a noob still getting noob gains).

Now I'd use 500gm plates if I had them!

Nick start using them, they are a godsend.

I can't say it's exactly 6 weeks. The first picture was taken well before the "cut" and switch to incline press, though I looked almost identical to it when I started the 6 week period regardless. The pictures were more to illustrate fat loss (which the first one doesn't show very well).

More or less, yeah that change was 1.5 months though, give or take from inaccuracy of first picture.

dat der celltech?

NAH BRO IT WAS ALL THE ALBUTEREX.

hahaha

    • Throwing my spoon to the soup here a bit.  When I installed a 044 back in 2012, along with the direct power mod, the car became very difficult to start. To a point I burned one starter motor as I was late for work and tried to get the thing going. With some tuning and careful use of gas pedal when cranking it became bearable. Trying to make this short as possible, but the 044 died after 2-3 years, after which I went with an AEM 320lph pump, which also died after about 4 years to my dismay. After that I went with a Nismo pump, and while trying diagnose an emissions problem, I noticed for the first time that my fuel pressure was 5bar/72psi on idle, and that removing the vacuum line did nothing. After monitoring the situation, and removing the direct power feed and going back to FPCM in attempts to remedy it, I noticed there was fuel in the pressure regulator vac line. Kept the FPCM, installed AEM external regu and the car became sooo much better in every way, including starting. And I had driven it like it was for 11 years.. Anyway, I agree these are likely two different problems, and the FP problem you just haven't noticed before. I do not know much about haltecs, but what first came to mind was the CAS, which probably is not there any more. So how is the wiring from haltec to gauge cluster? How is the battery voltage and alternator?
    • Your car was auto before? You have different diff ratio (auto vs manual i think? or n/a and turbo?)
    • +1 for getting a screen off alibaba, CarPlay/Android Auto is vastly better than whatever navigation cars had 10 years ago. I got an Android screen for my 2015 BMW, huge difference. Fully compatible with factory stuff including iDrive controls.
