I'd be very wary about training on a REAL stim like speed or cocaine. Could definitely push too far without realising it and end up passing out haha

Example: while under the influence of coke (when in Rome....or Berlin as it were), I managed to beat the elevator in the hostel up 7 floors while I took the stairs. That kind of "energy" is dangerous haha

Yeah, what Tolga said. What you're looking for should only be used on the odd occasion you're run down from lack of sleep or just a busy day. Long term energy problem are either going to be chronic fatigue/consistent sleep loss, or just a shitty diet. Any other possible causes will definitely not be fixed by an energy drink as they're either illness related or hormonal.

Just eat more.

The more I eat the more lethargic I get.

Just a pre-workout of some sort...pretty much full of caffeine and x chemicals, commonly used by people deficient in food and sleep.

This sounds about right.

Essentially, just looking for a jump start to get me back into rhythm and then should be off the stuff. Seriously feels like my metabolism is working at 1 10th and it's pissing me right off!

Will look into Mesomorph. Not looking for a long term supply, just a quick boost for a week or two. Anything else?

Then you're eating the wrong food for the occasion. I know exactly what you mean here - there's a lot of things I can eat that will make me want to do nothing but sit and vegetate haha. Just gotta eat the right foods at the right time so they don't interfere with your training. Unfortunately depending on your digestive system etc, this can be kinda difficult to do...

Spur of the moment vid. Sorry if you can't see everything.

Is this semi ok for the lowering phase? This time I'm trying to bend at the hips first and clear knees before bending knees.

Bar is touching thighs and shins up and down. This felt bit better back wise.

I prefer to train in the mornings. When I've been dedicated to going to the gym, it's been at 5-6am (the primary reason I changed to Jetts from Fitness First). Partially has to do with having a dad who's ex-military... also has to do with me liking regularity in my regime. Work can finish anywhere from 5-midnight so makes it tougher to stick to a schedule.

With that said, one of the guys that used to work with us had this supplement that was also an energy lifter. He wouldn't drink coffee at work in the mornings because this stuff had him going.

Anyone know what I'm talking about? Have been feeling my energy levels steadily depleting over the last 12 months and could do with a boost to get me back into my routine. If it helps, the stuff he was using was in a white bottle, with black label and red writing.... as generic as that is..

Any help would be appreciated!

any pretrainer should give you that sort of lift/energy whatever it is.

Also, 'fat burners' give energy just the same as caffeine does etc. not so much a pre workout, but an energy drink. 2shredded, Amphetalean, Body Effects, they might even 'burn some fat' but mainly boost energy and focus for daily activities not gym related.

F*cking LOL

Also, had a play with the safety bar heights last night for bench, one one setting it doesn't allow me to touch my chest, on the next setting down, I'm not sure Id be able to get out from under it if the bar was on it, I'm assuming that would be enough to stop be dying at least but maybe not without a cracked rib or 5.

;) f**king great night that was LOL. I can see how cocaine is so addictive though, that kind of rush is just something else. I'd do it again, but no point going out of my way for it - not in this country at least.

P.S. You can't buy the original Mesomorph anymore. It contained a substance much like speed. 1-3 dimeth anyone?

You can still get DMAA based stuff imported in - I got some Oxy Elite Pro, works quite well at stopping me from habitually eating. Taking two in one day was a bad idea though (made me really anxious lol)

I don't believe it's supposed to be allowed through, I think you're just lucky :P

I just finished off my DMAA caps the other day. Can't say I really noticed much of a benefit I can specifically attribute to the DMAA, so yeah who knows. It's just supposed to help you focus (hence why Uni/college students hammer it for their studies), so I suppose if you aren't struggling mentally with something you won't really notice much of a difference. Towards the end of the bottle, I was taking 75mg (3 caps) - supps that used to contain it like 1MR etc only had 25mg/serving, so if there was a specific effect from the stuff I'd like to think I'd be noticing it at 3 times that dosage.

I can absolutely 100% say for certain though that I got significantly more benefit from eating myself stupid the night before and up until 3+ hours prior to training (since I do poorly when I have anything in my stomach). As Birds etc always insist (and nobody disagrees) food and sleep are a much better solution than stims. Unfortunately gorging yourself on tasty shite isn't really much of an option during calorie deficit periods (as I'm on now for the next 4 weeks), so in these situations I definitely understand repeated use - even if only for appetite suppression haha

Raise the bench with some wood/sheet metal or something and use the higher setting.

You won't crack a rib with 100kg; maybe slight bruising.

I've had no issues with 90kg on my chest. Just lower it as best you can onto wherever you can, then roll it onto your belly. Once it's resting there you've got plenty of time to work out how to get out from under it :P

    • In the context of cam 'upgrader' I mean generally people who upgrade headers/cams - not my specific change. I mean it makes sense that if I had a bigger cam, I may get more false lean readings. So if I went smaller, I'd get less false lean readings. To a point where perhaps stock.. I'd have no false lean readings, according to the ECU. But I'm way richer than stock. My bigger than normal cam in the past also was giving false rich leanings. It's rather odd and doesn't add up or pass the pub test. Realistically what I want is the narrowbands to effectively work as closed loop fuel control and keep my AFR around 14.7 on light sections of the map. Which is of course the purpose of narrowband CL fuel control. So if I can change the switch points so the NB's target 14.7 (as read by my WB) then this should be fine. Haven't actually tested to see what the changed switchpoints actually result in - car needs to be in a position it can idle for awhile to do that. I suspect it will be a troublesome 15 min drive home with lots of stalling and way too rich/lean transient nightmare bucking away for that first drive at 2am or whevener it ends up being. Hopefully it's all tune-able. Realistically it should be. This is a very mild cam.
    • Messing with narrowband switchovers is a terrible bandaid. I don't want to think about it. You are a cam "upgrader" only in concept. As you said, your new cam is actually smaller, so it's technically a downgrade. OK, likely a very small downgrade, but nevertheless. But the big thing that will be the most likely suspect is the change of the advance angle. That change could be equivalent to a substantial decrease in cam lobe duration. I haven't gone to the effort of trying to think about what your change would actually cause. But until someone (you, me (unlikely), Matt, someone else) does so and comes to a conclusion about the effect, it remains a possibility that that is the change that is causing what you're seeing.
    • The previous switchover point was 501mv. The stock value is like ~360. They now were idling at about ~880. The thing is, most people get a false lean condition. I am getting false rich conditions. This isn't a quirk of terminology, most cam upgraders get awful fuel economy because the O2's read false lean and add fuel - Mine are attempting to aggressively subtract fuel.
    • So... the whole idea was to upgrade the power of the motor from stock. The motor I bought with the gearbox had 'some' stuff done to it in the past, but it wasn't as well thought out/what I had wanted to do. The stock heads typically are a big restriction on LS's and need porting to unlock quite a lot of power. You can then go a bit silly with aftermarket castings to get more, aftermarket intake manifolds for a little more, and then porting those for more. <- We are here. Nobody in Australia really goes down this path (for some reason). It might* make 3kw or something more than doing things the tried and true path for 10X the cost. So that's probably why - I wouldn't even recommend it to people, the money was and is likely better spent on just CNC'ing the stock heads and putting a 6.3L stroker kit in. I didn't want to go down the 'normal' path and then think: But if I'd just done a bit more - I could have had a slightly better result. I assumed the heads were running out of flow and it always annoyed me - Turns out the previous installer advanced the cam 6 degrees so this is likely why it was coming on earlier and running out of puff earlier than advertised. The body panels were just lack of planning/no information on this anywhere on the internet and the fact they came out different was annoying. From test fitting the guard it appears I could have gotten away with GTR guards only, but I got the bonnet and raisers and everything else as well for a pretty decent package deal.
