Cheers man, gets better though :P As of this morning I'm weighing in at 77kg...and managed that 180kg pull :D vid below - was a bit sloppy halfway up, not quite sure what happened but at least it wasn't an almost-failure point hahaha

Dude.. go see Shero about your form before you do pemanent damage.

I hope it was a one off but if your hips are rising that much each time before the weight comes off the floor then you are on your way to injury town soon.

Forget that you had a brain fart midway through the lift...

you basically lifted your arse right up, then you invented the first ever sumo stiff legged deadlift with a pause halfway up

bretty sure you're not allowed to discuss gear use on this board - AusBB has a gear section

Don't see any issues with it, aside from most members here having no real interest in steroids or the discussion thereof.

Also, swapped out the 3rd set of flat bench for 2 lighter sets of incline just to mix it up.

I'm assuming it's not normal for the bar to be flying around above me at only 50kg lol.

Clearly I'm lacking some strength in some supporting muscles when benching on that angle.

Do you regularly do incline? With a barbell or with dumbells? If the movement is new to you, it will take some getting used to. Start with a lighter weight (empty bar?) maybe?

No never, so it's a new thing.

It's already getting better, I think it was just a combo of it being very light and me not knowing what to hold/how to do the movement smoothly.

It was funny though.

I remember the first time I did decline bench - couldn't even get the bar up with 60kg on it, and that was when I had a 117.5kg flat bench. Then it wasn't long before my decline overtook my flat. Different movement will change everything!

What did I miss in his post that made it about steroid use? Clearly I'm not up with the lingo.

eat clenbuterol, trenbolone hard lol.

Troy I was under the impression that it was verboten to actively discuss it here - I find it an interesting topic, but have no plans to use myself (and I'd be mad to at this point).

I used to find decline easier than flat Birds - I have noticed that nobody uses the decline bench at the gym any more, has it fallen out of vogue now?

Clearly I do not even know enough about the topic to see the words in front of my face lol.

I could care less if people use it/don't use it. Claim they don't use when they do, or openly admit they do. Your body, your business.

If I was competing I'd care, I'm not so I don't.

i only really care when people who present themselves as role models or are teaching / instructing / motivating others lie about their use.

It's bad enough the legions of young guys who think they can look like an IFBB pro or Zyzz without chemical assistance, let alone those supposedly setting an example, Kali Muscle being a notable case.

The day this board prohibits DISCUSSION of AAS on the basis of them being illegal is the day you'll stop seeing my username anywhere in this section. Sourcing and price discussion shouldn't be allowed, of course...but anywhere or anyone that would rather force ignorance onto the curious has no place in my ideal community.

I don't think it'll ever get that far Troy.

By that standard we would also not be allowed to discuss burnouts, speeding, drifting on public roads, or things like speed, pot, etc.

A "discussion" hurts nobody. Condoning on encouraging illegal activities is quite another thing.

It is usually easier/stronger than flat bench, particularly if your flat bench position is a "flat back" style. I'm pretty sure powerlifters / pro-benchers try to mimick the angle of decline on flat bench with their severe back arching (as well as creating leg drive). It not only has less range of motion to travel through, but creates more leverage.

Since adopting a position like this, I've overtaken my pre shoulder injury PBs on bench press.

I have a friend who ditched flat bench altogether because he likes that decline gives him an extra few reps or 5kg more over flat bench lol

I totally agree with this. If someone is on the gear why do they feel they have to lie about it.

    • it takes so long to get things done but ... they are nearly there and we hitting the track soon again  So - at Perth Festival of Speed the car unfortunately had a decent off, wasnt me driving, wasnt the person drivings fault. Long story short car got sent very fast towards the wall without the control on throttle from the driver input and a disaster was averted but there was damage that needed to be fixed - carbon busted and alot of bent bits The splitter got munched and had to go back to get fixed - took a bit to get it there, fixed and back but got a surprise package when a new double element higher DF splitter came back - nice surprise !  and first person to have one     At a car show I took the car too some punks stole one of my carbon indicator blanks and stomped on the other so had to get a new set of headlight / indicator combo from tops stage so got front fender vents as well to put in the order     While all this was happening the new MCA golds turned up and did some fiddling around with those   Put in the flappy paddle system and clutch lockout wiring/ system   We have also put shorter gearing in top top it out at 300 kmph in 6th gear  where previously I held 5th to 282 at SMP and 277 in Perth   Looking for better control and faster acceleration     I wasnt intending on doing pedal box I was managing with the brake master replacement system I had going on and adjusted std pedals but on applying the clutch switch to the old system we found the *insert technical word here * bar that goes from the pedal to the master was bent about 40 deg and about to snap = lucky find otherwise be a bad bad time - discussion was had about getting a custom bar built to withstand the load but in reality it was time      making any suspension, wheel or anything adjustments to date has been a nightmare - aero off, adjust, check and repeat - time consuming and hard - short of going full airjack system we fashioned some external manual car lifts this will make life a million times easier     All the bent framing, some intercooler pipes and other has been fixed and replaced and after 6 months I finally have the car back at home in my control so its get to work on it, set ride heights, wheel align and will start track testing again soon   So ultimately other than a few flashy bits nothing actually looks likes its been done but in reality alot has. Typical   We'll see how all this goes
    • I'm far from an expert, but for sticking bits of metal together occasionally I got a MIG, the biggest one I could get with a 10a plug (because while I have some 15a GPOs around, they are not everywhere).  Also, because I get through SFA, I just buy the small disposable gas bottles at Bunnings, I'm not opening a BOC account to get through 1/10th of a full size bottle each year
    • FWD is different though.
    • Ignore the BOV / recirc valve question. You have an NA and shouldn't have one. If there magically is one though... It should be removed, though it shouldn't really effect it in the way one will for a turbo motor with it venting to atmosphere while running an afm.
