hey man im a close friend of the guys there and get parts from them regularly. in regards to service its not bad compared to others i have encountered. theyre nice and approachable, and the carbon bonnet you are after is australian made. it is fibreglass skeleton with carbon skin over the top and fibreglass ontop of that for protection. theyre pretty good  fitment should be pretty spot on as well coz my mate getting it (not sure if its on yet) for his 34 gtr.

like chi sed, expect to pay mega bucks for full dry carbon bonnets lol

how much are you getting it for? try and compare their prices to other places.

I havent bought anything off them yet but from what i see on their site and the price they got on their items is pretty

high..

for example i was looking at their apexi AVCR $760 im "pretty " sure you or i can get it cheaper then that

frm Japan or the US for around $500-600

BUT that was just in the electronics section maybe their other sections are cheaper :P

GL ^_^

yeah, you're spot on there

but for something that big (bonnet), it would cost an earth to get it shipped from Japan (or oversea)

nahh i dont think i would ever import a bonnet ^_^

save the money and hassle and just buy local

but at the same time have to scout around for better price and save yourself hundreds

P.s the bonnet looks pretty nice and price is good $780, i saw on carmate and it cost $1k for a similar one

Hey Andy, ive been eyeing out the same bonnet for a while. I emailed them and they assured me that the bonnet will fit straight on with no work necessary, and that it is of good quality. I am heading over to Sydney in a couple of weeks to pick up my car and was planning on visiting them and fitting it to my car before purchase to see if their claim is correct and check the quality, and if its all good post my standard bonnet home. So if your willing to hold out until then ill be your guinea pig. You never know maybe they will do us a deal if we buy two :D

keep in mind carbon fibre is illegal over fibreglass yeah I don't know if it will really matter considering most of our cars are illegal just keep it in mind ..

And flush bonnet locks look and perform heaps better than the old fashion ones, only $110 delivered..

    • Went looking at mine, reading off the tyre, presumably these are 1st week of 2003. Still hold air (I haven't had to pump them up in over 12 months!)     I couldn't quickly find the date on the front tyres, they were fitted around 2008 to the rims, so probably not quite as old, but they have a lot more dry rot cracks in them. Still hold air.
    • I am now intrigued to go check the dates on the tyres on my Skyline... We need a game of who has the oldest tyre still holding a car up, and successfully holding air (for longer than a 2 weeks I feel is successful air holding).   I feel your tyres may be beating mine
    • Ok, still waiting for a date to get the cams installed on the MX5, why so long, because MX5 Mania has received a few new sets of different cams with different specs for the MZR and are currently trialling them, and working out what is best for 2.5 "powers" with stock internals, in the end if I go bigger than the Kelford stage 1 cams I'll need to look at the valve springs  Hopefully I'll get the news on them next week As for the boot of the car getting fixed, I hopefully pick it up early next week, I was sweating on picking it up yesterday but, meh, it was not to be, so ne weekend cruising for me
    • Ok got some old tyres for you guys...my car has been sitting around un-driven for about 6 years now. I had it on the original rims with the shitty compliance tyres it got it with back in 2006, which were manufactured in 2004... Sidewalls eventually rotted and split open, obviously no air in them and the rims were holding the car up. Just swapped them with some 17" Work rims and tyres which are probably 10+ years old too but at least holding air
