I was wondering if anyone has taken their car to Mildren at Thebarton? If so what were they like price wise and quality of work? I wanted to get a few things checked out on my car by a mechanic that knows something about skylines and wont tell me I need to replace my turbo with a sunbeam blender or tell me I need a new diff when all I need is to change the rear tyre.

I only ask as it is the one closest to where I live.

cheers ;)

Honestly never heard of them. Is it a GTST or a GTR? You have probably read other threads here that recommend certain workshops. You could find out for us and give us your opinion or go to the tried and trusted places that most on here go to.

they used to specialise in rotarys, have been around for more than 10-15 years (might be different owners/partners in that time)

I've seen a few imports there in recent times

haven't been there since I owned my RX2

I had my head (ca18de) sent to them to get some work done on it a few years ago.. pretty satisfied with the quality of work.

They also rebuilt my mate's old ra celica ... that little thing was a pocket rocket.

Back in the day they were THE place to go for an RE build.

As others have said, I've not really heard of them with respect to skyline work.

I have booked my car in for monday morning to get the oil pressure checked. They told me it would take about an hour to do so and they would charge me $80. They are going to keep the car for the day to test it when the engine is both warm and cold. We shall see what happens. I asked for a rough quote for a clutch for my car and they said I was looking at around $1400. Inside my head I went Holy crap.

dang 1400 is that twin plate :P

is that for gtst also

cause kent brake and clutch charge way less than that i paid about $950 and that was $490 factory direct for an extreme HD ceramic clutch from Deluxe's mate Brad Fox and then fitting and for a GTS4 you pay way more than for a GTSt

oh thats machined flywheel also

That is for a gts-t and that was nothing special. I am pretty sure he was referring to a single plate ceramic clutch as he described as a kind of normal driving around clutch that you could give it a bit of shit, which is the description I have heard from other people about single plate ceramic clutches.

yeah well DONT get them to do your clutch ring up Brad Fox tell him your from skylines australia and a guy there says to ring him and he will look after you

then take to clutch to either boostworx or kent brake and clutch there on pt rd near beverly
