As the topic suggests im thinking bout putting 13b injectors on my car. from what I can tell its a pretty common mod. Not being someone who has played around with engines much, is this an easy job to do, do they go on without modification, being a toolmaker im sure i shouldnt have any problems if i have to.

also around how much should i be paying for injectors, and would there be anything else i would need.

everything else has pretty much been done on my car/engine allready, just still has standard injectors.

.Looks like I wont have to store this bad boy after all, so might aswell put in some extra power to shut my mate getting an XR6 T up :P

You need to,

a) take the 'O' ring off the top of the injector, and push some EFI fuel hose onto it.

b) remove the plastic pintle cap off the bottom of the injector

c) transfer over the metal mounting plate, bakelite injector boss, and rubber injector ring seal from your original injectors.

d) retune

Done!

the 13b injectors aren't a good choice they have a horrible spray pattern - more like a hose than a mist of fuel. in the rotaries they run with "atomiser plates" that break the fuel up. because they atomise poorly you don't get the full advantage of the extra fuel.....

Ive heard this too. good for rotaries but no good for us.

Maybe gtr injectrors will work?

From what i have been told the GTR injectors are side feed as opposed top feed on the FJ, I have 13B injectors in my DR and is basically the same thing as standard only bigger from what I can tell. This is an uneducated opinion mind u but the 13B's are an excellent and cheap upgrade with them being available for less than $300 for a set of 4.

well I ended up going with the 13b injectors. it seems alot more sources in my research are using 13b injectors with no drama's. seeing as its just a ''fun car'', if it gives more power and less economical efficientcy it doesnt really matter.
