Turbo Spool Sound

My turbo sounds a bit different than usual it has more of a pithed sound than normal. Still pulls the same and hits the same boost.

Could it be oil needs changing ( too thin). Curently using Motul Turbo lite.

Damn, the blew up part didn't help much did it.

Yah, as the bearings in floating axle turbos go, the comp wheel can wear on the cover, causing a whistle. Cordia / TX3 whistle ne one?

Not sure if its the same with BB turbos, grab the wheel with your fingers and check it.

Are GT30R turbos known to blow? I did change the pod filter back to airbox. maybe thats caused the change in sound?

changine from a pod back to a box gives a diffrent sound straight away, you get a cleaner sound for the turbo, less of the induction roar, yet a more refind small sucking whisling noise, yet any change that you not 100% about you should take the car to someone who knows, as it can be hard to diagnoise sounds over the net just off a discription

yes, even a GT30 can blow but yeah its probably because of the air box
