paul riggs and bruce (I cannot remember his last name.) are the guys there. I deal with them as well. funny thing is they refer various skyline issues to me for some reason.

  • 2 weeks later...
FKN LOUD screamer siren. in short you will not stay in the car as it hurts your head - literally.

my alarm installer didnt want to install the piezo until i learnt how to use my new alarm.

Cause every time id turn the key when it immobilized id get a ear-full and end up complaining to him to remove it :P

the range of pager alarm's isnt great.

Especially with surrounding cars and you sitting in buildings, you'd be lucky at all to get a signal at all

+1 and if you have OE lead tinted windows like most of these cars do the range is almost nix.

GSM paging - works but needs a SIM to keep it going. ARM/Disarm via GSM - yes. know of one module that does it in conjunction with

an upgrade alarm. have a 350Z on the gold coast setup that way.

You can buy the addon to the mongoose alarm; GSM pager

http://mongoose.com.au/accessories/index.p...roduct_id=MTP-3

I think it cost about $300 last time i asked for a quote (1 year ago)

but for that price might be better off getting the GSM/GPS unit in the groupbuy for $300 (although it doesnt have an alarm trigger wire, so will need some playing around to get it to sms you when alarm activated  )

Guys if your getting an alarm don't get Mongoose, pay the extra note and get the Viper. Both alarms are made by the same company the difference is Viper is the only one you get lifetime warranty i am big on warranty stuff. Other than that the viper remote is cool and all the add-ons you can add to viper is cool too. do it once and then forget about it.
