Got the membership renewal in the mail the other day, so I thought I'd drop in and say hello and Happy New Year to those who remember me.

Looks like the club and it's membership is as strong as ever which is great to see.

After almost 2 years of owning it, I finally took some shots of my car last night. It's nothing special, just a ridiculously conspicious Yellow R34. I thought it came up alright after a wash.

hehe.. the car is moving, just not at fast as it looks.... it's a long exposure shot.

Hey Greg, long time no speak! Those photo's look familiar

R-spec - the camera is attached to the car and it's a long exposure, you simply leave the car out of gear and roll it slowly.

i actually get out of the car, leave a brick on the accelerator and tie the steering wheel so it goes in circles, then climb back to the boot and lean out, it's heaps sick uleh!

How do you mount the camera to the car?

I use suction mounts, but a lot of people use clamps, or magnets. It all depends on the kind of shot you're looking to get.

How long would it take someone with no background in photography to be able to take shots like that? And how much would a suitable camera cost?

a normal digital SLR on the right settings, a $100 ebay camera mount

and just the right settings on the camera
