Swapping For 20in

my mate has got 20in baby dished rims that fit my car perfectly, but the tyres scrub on the suspension in the front, yes i know why would you put 20's on a skyline but at the moment i have got 19in pure chrome wheels.....so yea makes me wanna swap, at the moment the 20's have got 225's on it what size do you reckon i need to make these fit and does anyone else have 20inch on there R33 plz if anyone else has got the size i need please post thanks

They fit your car perfectly, but scrub?

One reason why they could be rubbing is because of shitty offset. Try using some spacers to make the wheels closer to the guard and clear the suspension.

Or... get smaller tyres. How wide are the wheels?

Yep sounds like an offset issue more than anything else.

i have this problem all the time if shes not ready for it.. what i do is grab a whole bunch of lube and....

oh you mean rims. try a camber kit.

are your guards rolled?

i had to roll my guards when i fit 19's.

What's the diameter of the wheel got to do with its width?

There are plenty of cookie cutter rims out there, thanks in no small part to people like this who feel the need to drive on massive diameter wheels, but whose guards don't fit wheels of a reasonable width.

If you have a look at the Temple of Chrome's web site, most of their 20" rims are 8.5" wide. A 225 width tyre on an 8.5" wide rim will only be slightly stretched.

the 20's are a 225, there not that wide, i have 19's on my car with 235 and they dont scrub, the 20's on the other hand the tyres start to hit the suspension, but the wheels slide on perfectly, i know of a person that had TOLD me that he put 205 or 215 on his skyline to make them fit....i dont know if it is true, another thing i dont have to roll my guards as my car is still at standard height....that is why my 19's fit perfectly...
