I'd hazard a guess that the racing development team and the consumer product development team are seperate... and once the former collects enough data on parts then the latter will set about making products for consumer use.

Nismo isn't massive in terms of people. Right now is very busy for everyone there.

Dunno If anyone has heard about this. but.

TOKYO (January 24, 2008) – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. announced that it has rationalized the tuner-parts operations under its affiliate, Nissan Motorsports International Co., Ltd. (NISMO), where its light-tune parts business was fully transferred to parent-company Nissan.

The revamp allows NISMO to focus on its core strengths and expertise to develop high-performance heavy-tune parts that cater to a dedicated customer base of tuners and racing enthusiasts.

The light-tune parts business had been transferred to Nissan to better serve a larger customer base, by leveraging Nissan's wider dealer network country-wide. Nissan's customers can now find professional tuning service and NISMO-branded tuner parts for an enhanced driving experience at any Nissan dealership across the country.

The first light-tune part that will become available at Nissan dealerships is the "NISMO S-tune", customized to the requirements of the Nissan Tiida.

With a growing customization and tuner market combined with a wider distribution network for its NIMSO-branded specialty parts, Nissan is expecting strong growth. Looking ahead, Nissan is also exploring expansion plans to overseas markets for its tuner-parts business.

In October 2006, the NISMO-branded merchandize business had already been transferred to Nissan, and retails at Nissan dealerships country-wide.

Not that This is any real indictation, but I personnally think Their Will Definantly be a Nismo R35!!!

(GT-R PROTO 05", R35 GT-R 08", R35 SPEC V GT-R 09", R35 Series 2 GT-R 09", R35 Series 3 GT-R 10", R35 SPEC M GT-R 11") R35 SPEC S GT-R 2012???

All i know is that R36 GT-R is scheduled for release in 2013, so if they make a tuned model 2012/2013 will be the year.

Obviously things get delayed a little but i think they are hard at work trying to stick by Porsche this time round in perfecting the R's and also bringing them out with set time intervals.

hay boys and girls.

do u reckon that nizmo will make a z tune version of the r35 gtr????

that would be a maybe. Carlos ghosn ceo of nissan in japan had a lot of progress with the r34 series (v-spec,s-tune,r-tune,nur and z-tune) so he made the r35 to continue the popularity and succeded in making the R35 Nissan GTR which as seen many times on tv thrashed the Porsche 911 TURBO at its own grounds Nurburgring. As a next stage Carlos created the spec v which is like a v-spec just switched around sporting monster carbon ceramic brakes costing a whopping $60,OOOAUS which slows it down from 200-0km in 7.2 seconds and goes 0-100 in 3.5 seconds just under the famous italian supercar the lamborghini murcialago lp640 at 3.4 and the monster $155,000AUS shows that it is way out of a p platers reach soon after hearing that Carlos starting manufacturing the s-tune which is due late this year in november. But a z-tune? no plans have been made but many equivelents have been made eg: the rotrex R35 which has a 800hp quad charged 3.8 litre v6 but ill keep everyone up to date about the s-tune production.

    • Hey, like MBS206 mentioned; I dropped off my short block and rotating assembly Monday. With a quick verification, he believes he can clear it up with just a hone and new rings but he will confirm once the rotating assembly is out. If I were you, I would either go stroker or just replace the block if it does need to be bored over to next size. Block is cheaper then forged pistons.
    • live in the UK, and London has introduced a Low Emission Zone (LEZ) that requires individuals to pay £13 if their car doesn’t meet the required emissions standards.   The standard specifies that NOx emissions must be less than 0.08 g/km (i.e., the vehicle must meet Euro 4 standards or better, which generally results in NOx levels of around 0.08 grams per kilometer).   I reached out to Nissan UK, and they advised me to contact Nissan Japan directly. Does anyone have contact details for Nissan Japan or any certifications of conformity that show the emission details or NOx levels for the RB25DET engine?   Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
    • these guys recommended to me and supplied custom 4 inch mufflers, couldn't be happier. They will spec a muffler to your preferred level of sound and know RB's well.  https://spmufflers.com.au/
    • Yeah this used to happen to me every year and a quick call would at least raise the agreed value back up / reduce the premium, but usually both.    That said for the first time on the renewal this year our agreed values went up or stayed the same over the fleet and the premium came down so that was a nice surprise.
    • I don't even go that hard core. I just say "how do you expect me to stay, when you increase my premium, and reduce the value of the car?"   Then play a game of shut the f**k up. Most of the time it's a computer that did the adjustment, and the people will happily change it around for you.
