Rb25 Cam Gear Installation - Inlet

Hey all,

Just wondering how you install a HKS cam gear on the inlet side of an RB25. Exhaust is fine, i can just bolt it up. But inlet is held on by one big bolt where as the cam gear it self has 4 little bolts to fix it on with......

How do i bolt it on?

you dont install it on the inlet side because of the VCT. only on the exaust side.

yeah just found that out. I didnt know, prior to buying an exhaust and inlet cam gear!!! blardy hell.

Are the inlet and exhaust cam gear the same? i.e. can i use the HKS adjustable inlet cam on the exhaust side?

no HKS cam gears are specific to inlet and exhaust. there are some brands which can use the same one for inlet and exhaust u can determine these by them having 2 small locating holes as opposed to just one. which also means these can be fitted 180 degrees out if your not careful
