Hi guys, I got 9.5" width wheels at the back for my S15, in order to pass the engineering certificate, I need to strengten the whole back end of my car with car that has standard 7.5" instead of 6.5" (on the S15) so my option is the GTR end, diff, bearing etc whatever controls the end of the rear wheels, now my question is where can I source one out? and who should I talk to get the work done?

Please don't tell me to swap the wheels to 8.5", coz I already bought the wheels and took me 1.5 months to get them :)

Thanks for the help in advance

i have a rb26/30 in my s15 and i use a complete gtr rear end, the whole thing bolts into the s15 chassis....

if you decide to use this, i think the final drive (4.11:1) will be too tall for your 6 speed as the s15 comes with 3.7:1.. this is the only thing against you... and tailshaft will be different

otherwise, the complele rear end shits all over the s15 ass end, the gtr uses a mechanical lsd, it has alloy stub axles, and thicker drive shafts...

good piece of gear compared to the s series chassis cars...

and you will never break it

This post will be no help to you whatsoever but can I just confirm what I see here? An engineer wants you to strengthen your rear end because you have wider wheels than standard? What a f**king joke. Are you going to be driving around on Mickey Thompsons all day every day? And you can bet this guy takes himself totally seriously too.

Ok here's something semi useful. I have an R32 GTR rear end in my R34 GTT and it's a great piece of gear. Paid $700 for the whole kit and kaboodle and it's tough as nails. Really tough nails that is.

I know I know. I just hate people who blindly follow rules without question.

Think for yourself

Question authority

Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening,

terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in

this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities, the political, the

religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by

giving us order, rules, regulations, informing, forming in our minds their

view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and

learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open-mindedness;

chaotic, confused, vulnerability to inform yourself.

Think for yourself.

Question authority.

nah, only r32

ummm in my experience R34 is easier than R32.....

S13-R32 str8 swap

S15-R33/R34 st8 swap

combining the two ie R32 into s15 streches the bushes and usually ends in a skewing cradle (crabbing car) after awhile. We run R34 GTR in the S13.

and fitting the GT-r cradle wont fix your over tracked rear end..... as i assume they are worried about the track change more than anything. If you truly are being hassled for axle loading then yes it may be easier to get through with a GTR rear due to the higher factory load rating.

remmebr though you will also need new rear coil over bases as the lower mount is fork not eye.

Hi peeps, I am in a similar situation, I have an S15 that I am currently doing an RB26DETT swap in and at the same time I am looking at swapping the GTR 32 rear end in as I got everything as a package. I want to know if I were to unbolt the entire Differential, axles, and brake setup minus the spindle from the R32 GTR rear sub-chassis would it bolt directly onto the S15 rear sub-chassis. I will be using the S15 spindle of course and using all my S15 arms and whatnot. Can someone that has done this let me know, I have the entire R32 rear end but I have already bought my S15 Cusco coilovers and don't wanna have to use a combination setup.
