So what happens if you had coilovers installed before the rule came into affect?

I suppose that makes F*ck all difference to them, because they arent the ones having to fork out for an engineers certificate...

To tell you the true, i just went over pits, (last week) and i failed. Points i failed on.

91.8DB needs to be 90db at 3200rpm.

Drive shaft boot was split.

And a tierod end was loss.

I now only have to drive back over within a month and they will only check these things.

What they could(should) of failed me on.

HKS coilovers.

Wheels.

Pods.

None of which is engineered. And should be. + more.

Plus its boarderline high, and they didn't even check it.

What was the general hight allowable 15cm minimum for everything under the car?

I've got stock suspension and I'm already around 12 to 13cm at a couple of points. I believe there's allowance if the car came lower from factory but might be an issue f I try and get engineered with no stock suspension.

They also will account for the car at average load, and it says something about that on the rego.act web page that average load is 65kg per seat or so. So if you car is 11cm like my was they will still fail it as they take into account the drop from people sitting in it. My brother also worked for ford, and the reason they fail it without a engin cert is something to do with it being adjustable, just like some boost controllers, but other then that there isnt that much of a regulation on them in terms of spring hardness and dampening rate.
