Yeah and I have one with 26.0 kms on it.... Seriously man, if you think r32's have got mileage like that you are kidding yourself... but I am sure the person selling it to you will be happy to wind it back for you if you want to keep fooling yourself.

^ my first 4 door has 38,000km when it came in with log books

care to explain that?

also if you change your mind I might part with my 25'd 32 for 15.5k

Haha,

I cannot count the amount or r32's i looked at before I bought mine. Many were fresh imports and all magically had done 7-80,000km and had interiors that were terribly worn etc etc... It does not take much to realise that a car has been wound back and I would say the vast vast majority of 32's are.

Your car came with log books doesn't mean the k's are a guarantee, but it is not impossible for a car to have low k's.. but if it had 38,000km it would be like a new car inside I would expect and all the other wear indictors outside the car must have been in perfect condition, suspenion etc etc..

it was like new inside no wear on anything cleanest 32 regency had ever seen

it was a 4 door non type m auto turbo not really a thrash car

also if km can not be confirmed its marked on the auction report

which means the car sells for less so there no point in them being wound back

that and the fines are large for winding them back in the first place

car yards here are generally the ones that make more cash if a car has low kms not the auctions

why would a japanese person bother to wind back the kms on a 2k car?

a car yard that sells that same car for 18k would have alot more reason to

as was exposed in that T.T report that was done auction reports showed the correct km's cars didn't

sorry to fill your thread

i picked 32 mspec up from sinergy/pvp back when they were on mullers rd.

mine had 52thou and recieved top import grades.

2yrs and another 25thou on top i wish it was as clean as the day i drove it out their shop.

a good friend of mine imported one privately with 10thou on the clock...

i didnt believe it until i saw it the first time... and yeah it was

his and mine were the real deal, no matter what anyone says.

I live in Melbourne and I looked at lots of 32's over 2 years ago when I bought mine and the majority were under 100,000km on the odometer. They were all rubbish though, the car I ended up with read 130,000km and had been in Aus since '99 and owned by a guy in a regional area how did a lot of the k's on striaght roads with no traffic lights, it was the best example I looked at and tests confirmed that, so I bought it. All I was saying is that you are placing a lot of confidence in a number on a dial that I almost completely ignore (when looking at Skylines). There are much better ways to asess a cars condition. Anyway, best of luck with your search and I hop you find the right car for you!

    • Do you plan on using 98 or e85?
    • This should be pretty easy. 200rwkW is just about the max power out of an RB25 stock turbo. So, 12ish psi on a 2.5L. That boost limited mainly by the prospect of seeing the turbine in the cat after the smoke show. A steel wheeled equivalent would likely happily do ~220rwkW at something like 17 psi, where it would probably be bumping into the usual limits of such a sized turbo. These things have like a .48 rear. You will not need the 0.86 rear. The 0.64 will be fine. In fact, if you were looking at various mid-200rwkW options for RBs, most of them would be in a 0.64 rear. So, I think you will definitely want to be no bigger than that for a same sized but probably even more efficient (at making power) modern engine.
    • Change the subframe bushes, transforms the car.
    • For something a little more serious, Davinci Resolve is about the best there is for free video editors. No expiration dates or watermarks, completely free.
    • Well, it's taken me until the last week of 2024 to actually do something on the Skyline but I consider it a good head start to 2025's efforts! I managed to justify (to myself anyway...) my purchase of the lift table. It made taking the rear subframe out a lot easier than it would have been without anyway! Everything is out and stripped down ready for a clean then powdercoating.  She's pretty grubby under there but pretty good condition for a 38 year old Japanese tin bucket. 12 years of zero street time have obviously helped that... I need to decide which of the factory suspension arms I will keep and replace so I only get what I'm keeping powdercoated.  Baby steps but it's a start!
