How To Tell A Ceramic Turbo Against A Non Ceramic

Hey, my rb26 had uprated hiflowed turbos when i got the car, and while its open i want to know if i have ceramic turbos or not (as i heard the stock ceramics are prone to killing these engines!!!)

please let me know.

look at the turbine wheels... ceramic is usually an orangy tan colour.. where as steel wheels look like.. steel

they also have a different feel and sound when lightly tapped than a steel wheel does.

we will be able to tell if it has been highflowed or not.... only if you post pics of the turbine and compressore hosuing facing the blades

get a magnet... ceramics dont let em stick, metal does.

Post a pic of the exhaust side and I'll tell you for sure if its stock ceramic or aftermarket steel. By the way the so called ceramics are not ceramic and the so called steel are not steel either.

i do believe thats how magnets and metal seem to behave when placed near each other...

Boost it to 22psi and see if it blows.

Then you know it's ceramic
