Got it worked out. The little plastic sleeve with the 3 pins that locate in the steering wheel weren't lined up correctly

I have this problem too on the Dayz .Trouble is that the wheel I took from the 25G will not seat far enough down for the pins to engage in the holes in the wheel boss. Even driving on and doing up nut leaves the boss a good millimeter shy of engaging.

Oddly the wheel off the Dayz fits the 25G properly.

I am going to check to see if the shaft can be moved down about 3 or 4 mm so the boss can accept the pins.

I suspect the Dayz has had a front ender as it had an R32 radiator when I bought it. Maybe this is how the shaft is that few mms too far up.

Will get back soon.

What I had not noticed before is that the plastic with the three spiggots on it is actually spring loaded. Trouble was that the lubricant used was more like glue and the spring was not strong enough to push the plastic spiggot thingie out far enough so that when fitting the steering wheel back on the spiggots did not engage. Now when the nut was tightened the spring keeps pressure on so that all is AOK. I used a bit of WD40 to help the spring. Now that fixed the horn an indicator cancel

Now I have to reset the airbag controller and all will be fixed..
