Hey guys, Trying to get hold of RacingLine.

I'm heading down to Vic in a fortnight to get a powerFC tune for the RB30DET and was hoping to use RacingLine as their only 15 mins from my Sister in Cheltenham, and seem to be highly recommended from what I can tell after doing a search. This will be handy for me as I can install the power fc etc there and won't have to drive far to the tuner on the base map.

If they don't exist anymore can anyone recommend me a tuner in the south east type area of Melbourne. I've looked at the sticky and at the moment RE Customs is my next favourable choice followed by Racepace but the only thing's holding me back is not being able drive around the corner to see how they're getting on with the car, and also limping the car 45 mins-1hr to them.

Pm me also if you have any recommendations  Looking for an answer fairly quick cheers!

Hey dude,

Not 100% sure of the above i can also suggest RE Customs

Give ray a call he will be happy to help you out.

Also in regards to the "install" i would just drive down on the old ecu and then pulg it in once u get to the workshop

I know ray would be more than happy to let you do that.

RE Customs

16 Yiannis Court, Springvale VIC. 3171

Thats exactly what I'm going to do :)

I've got them doing the injectors, afm etc etc though which is annoying as I would have like to do it myself but im sure their workmanship is second to none. It ought to be as they've quoted me 4hr's labour to just do that :D

OK - have just jumped off the phone with Nige and ill break it down a little better to avoid confusion.

Racingline is closing down as we speak, and Nige is moving interstate in the very near future.

Currently he is still in Melbourne and is working at the Racingline location to honour/finish any current business that he has been working on.

Unfortunately he is not taking on any new jobs though as he simply wont have time to complete them before he leaves.

Racingline haven't had a landline for close to 3 months now. Both Nige and Karl can be contacted on their mobiles if you need to speak to them but as Bec said they are only open to complete existing work and best be considered closed for all intents and purposes.

Thats exactly what I'm going to do :/

Awesome dude.

Hope it all works out well.

I don't doubt any of Rays work, my car is in the work shop at the moment and a very high change will be there when you drop your car off. I have parts on order and they wont arrive until around about that week.

Best of luck and make sure you let us all know how you go.

This has gotta to be one of the best suggestions ever!!!!!

Racepace is soooo far!!!!

Leave RacePace where it is, only 10-15mins away from me

Maybe you should move closer to them? Come on where are your priorities! Car first! haha

    • Happy new years folks! Wishing you all a successful year of money pit ownership!  So the subframe bushes are out....   Ok, who else has done that job before??  What a C U Next Tuesday of a job that is!  Be glad to not do that again in a hurry! I think I explored every option available to chop the middle section of the bushes out, most of them unsuccessfully! I dried a holesaw, die grinder, normal drill bit, air chisel, etc, etc. The true success happened by accident when I'd decided to try a step drill I spotted on the bench on the way passed.  See, there are benefits to never cleaning up after yourself! It RIPPED through so so much better than the drill bit. It has to be the skinniest one available so its small enough to fit between the inner tube and outer casing but it made easy work of it.  First one i hammered the shit out of... New method- 20250102_185506.mp4     I did the other 5 in less time than I fluffed around with the first one. I used the cut off saw (sawsall as the yanks love to call them) to cut a break in the casing. Even with that they're still a prick to hammer or air chisel out.  The last few i just went rambo with the air chisel without cutting them. I overcome one of the early ones so will hit the with the mig to fill the cut then sand it off smooth.  The carnage left over-   I've also been "nesting" ie, cleaning up my babies nursery,  ie cleaning the f**king pig sty of a shed. I've got that much shit laying around it's as cluttered as my head!  Getting things put away, in boxes, on shelves, hanging off walls, all to get some working space back again.  Hopefully that keeps me motivated....
    • AFAIK does the base map for Haltech even have the 4D compensation enabled? It's been a while but when I looked at it I remember it was actually using pure TPS as one load signal and MAP for another. Seemed workable but not ideal by any stretch. A lot of people have "make the event-itis" which leads to stuff like this happening.
