Hey guys can anyone tell me what the load rating on a S1 Stagea should be?

Just about to head out to buy some new tyres as the tyre walls on the current tyres have collapsed.

Tyres are going on 17" R34 GTT rims but I wouldn't think it makes a difference.

Ok mum's home, going off the placard inside the drivers door.

"The tyres fitted to this vehicle shall have a max load rating not less than 580kg or load index of 89 and a speed catagory not less than H (210km/h)"

Recommended inflation pressure:

front: 200 kPa, (29PSI)

rear 220kPa (32PSI)

previous tyres were higher than this so dunno why they collapsed.

ill get some pics.

I bought some R34 rims for the stag and they came with WANLI tyres with about 80% tread. I think some of the sidewall damage may have already been there before I bought the rims but it definately got worse since we put them on.

"Made in China" and tyres are dangerous combinations for powerful, heavy cars like the Stagea. Chuck them or keep em for a burnout comp. Not something we should ever skimp on. Bought mine with some cheapies onboard, first rain shower I was skating, quality jap tyres fixed that.

I'm pretty sure whatever was put on the car at compliance would have been checked for load rating, and its not like they will kill you just because they are made in China.

Not saying they will kill you, but in an emergency situation I know what i want on my feet.

Chinese products never lie, they are renowned for their quality and truthfullness in their description. Im sure their load rating was rigorously tested.
