marmo
hey guys i bought a twin plate clutch recently 2nd hand, I put it in yesterday, and it was all good, but i wasnt sure if i had the right hight bearing carrier in it. So i removed the engine and transmission again this morning, pull it apart, and belive i had the right hight for the bearing carrier and bearing(if some one could please post the rights specs for the carrier high with the bearing on it . I began to put the gear box back onto the engine, and the splines jamed and broke the main clutch disc. belive its a Nismo Gmax one, however there isnt really any part numbers except for on the pressure plate. they are as follows 6G24 and opersate it on another one of the pressure plate toungs 9238200502 here are some pics below of the damege i did and what the clutch looks like any help where to get these clutch discs from and how much would be great ps with the carrier picture i attached i put an imitation bearing on to show the messure ments(only ruff, i did them with a tape mesure, and in a rush). so is that the correct one for my twin plate? Thanks for all your help Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/201931-nismo-gmax-twin-plate-clutch-discs-replacment-bearing-carrierbearing-info/ Share on other sites

T04GTR
cool. you need to use a small throwout bearing on a 12-14mm carrier. same as os giken. ottomotto have them in stock. the standard bearing and carrier is wrong. i got quoted $700 a plate from sbc.... a few years ago. i still have it rusting away in the shed as its just not worth fixing. T04GTR
the bearing carrier height is measured from the surface of the bearing seat(bottom of where the bearing sits) and where the fork rubs on the 2 tangs. GTR1993
the bearing carrier height is measured from the surface of the bearing seat(bottom of where the bearing sits) and where the fork rubs on the 2 tangs. S13_DriftR
The correct Carrier length should be 12mm as far as I remember... The Bearing & Carrier can be bought Genuine from Nissan. With the Clutch Discs, Are they 215mm?? These can be purchased through Xtreme Clutches in Adelaide or even JMS (Japanese Motorsport) also in SA. They are normally around $600 or thereabouts... Otomoto (Ben Ellis) is an OS Giken Distributor so he may also be able to help you too.
