Just wondering if theres any interest in having another dyno day? As I need a dyno run myself. Would be a good get together too.

If not will book in one afternoon myself.

Dyno day is booked for the 8th of March 9am.

I just need to go in and have a chat to the guys. Will need to confirm how many r33 gtrs are taking part, as they take a while to setup. Also if other people are interested, rexes take some time, so too many of them are not too good.

Looking at a max of 30 cars, don't think we'll reach that many though lol.

Cost will be 50$ + 5$ donation to sau.

Just a note to all. All money will be payed to ESP on the day, won't be passing through my hands. 5$ is an appreciated donation so to speak. Just with all this PL stuff nowadays want to cover myself. I will be going through the list later, but ALL R33 GTR's will be grouped together (if we have multiples), due to what ESP has to do to get them running on the dyno

On the dyno day note. I know my car won't be the most powerful out there. While it would be good if we win vs the supras, it's the day itself that counts

Would probably look to run one with the Supra boys in a few months, not sure on the interest sooner.

Whilst it will be a little while before the heat of Summer fades (read: not conducive to turbo'd cars & dyno results...), IF there is enough interest, I'll put my hand up to organise a dyno day in late Feb' or March. If the Supra Club has someone reading this, or if anyone knows a contact in their club, I have a good, GOOD location/ setup in mind...

Called Ed quickly at Autotech, looking at at least 5-7 people for a dyno day, Around 50$ a vehicle, maximum 15-20 cars. May be able to make a few alternations on our cars while on the dyno too. Now I'd have to ring back and confirm dates and the charge, but this is a guide. I've had a run on the dyno there before, and they are a great bunch of guys.

So post up the interest for Autotech or I can ring ESP if someone has their number.

I'm really only after a run to see the basic tune for my car at the moment, will be then getting a new remap done, and dyno the car in a few weeks time.

ESP - 6299 4444

Ask for Glenn or Daniel.

That's where I was going to suggest. If you do call, say Jayce & Erica (along with Mick!) suggested them! I like the AutoTech guys, too, but ESP's is an AWD dyno, and know they were keen to get a day happening...

Yeah up to everybody, just rang ESP, 50$ for a dyno run, minumum 10 cars. I normally run my gts4 on the autotech dyno in 2wd mode, but of course its a 32.

So post your serious interest. At least 5-7 for autotech or 10 for ESP

CeJay - Autotech or ESP.

edit forgot to mention that, but did say someone from SAU put me on to them.

    • They see me rollin' they hatin'....... Took me most of the day to make the necessary mods to the mounts to make them fit the car.  Fortunately I was able to just use the mounts that came with the rotisserie. The rear ones are really secure, the front I feel i might reinforce a bit more as it doesn't seem like enough attachment to the vehicle. I'm sure it's fine but better to be safe than (extremely...) sorry.  I drilled and tapped thread into additional M12 holes to each car mount where it attaches to the rotisserie as an extra fail-safe. Without them the side to side movement is just restricted by the allen head pinch bolts, nothing actually goes though the beam. Does now! I still need to adjust the rotisserie to get the car centred in terms of centre of gravity. If it's too high or too low relative to the rotational centre line of the car, it will be like a turtle and roll onto its back or as it currently sits, I dont think I'd be able to rotate it as it sits as it needs to lift the whole car up as it rotates. Ain't happening... I'm going to be nervous as hell the first time I go to spin it on its side...
    • Oh yes done this when the window started flopping around.  Turns out the guides that run along the rail chanel had crumbed way. Took off the door card and pulled out the window mech, then the window, which you have to pull out through the top. As said unbolt the guide rail and don't spend 30 minutes getting frustrated trying to find a way to slide it out upwards cause that don't frigging work. Drop it down and out through the door hole. All I did to repair it was slice some 10mm clear plastic tube, vertically, then screw it to the guide rail both sides. This tubing rolls inward on both sides and leaves a gap wide enough to hold the window. To finish all I did was lube the plastic tube with olive oil and Bob's your uncle . . . well if he has the operation he can be your Aunt ! !  10 bucks in plastic tube and another 5 minute job done again . . . . YEH BULLSH#T ! My love for Skylines knows no bounds !
    • So was there a solution to this problem? I’m having this issue now.
    • not expensive, just irreplaceable if you don't go sub 60 at wakie in that thing people will start talking
    • I haven't replaced that, but I have had the doors apart on the r32 a couple of times The door skin will be held on by a combination of clips and bolts, just take it slowly and make sure all the sneaky hidden bolts are out Once the skin is off you should be able to pop that piece off pretty easily, looks like there are only 2 bolts holding it on
