Stupid R35 Gtr Question...

But, they all seem to be auto transmission, do they come manual ???

No manual is available at all.....

But who knows what they may do in the future though. Future models like th VSpec may get if they believe it works or there is a significant market for it

Kev - its a DSG gearbox rather than an auto. So technically its a clutchless manual. Doesn't make it cool though.

I know its faster and I know its better and after spending some time last weekend in the Ferrari 360CS which has a similar system they are really nice to drive around town in traffic compared to clutching in all the time - BUT IT STILL DOESNT MAKE IT COOL!

I heard it prevents you blowing up gearboxes... I mean... who wants that? everyone loves blowing up Getrags

Yeah well thats why I no longer have a Getrag.

But I seriously doubt it will prevent people blowing up gearboxes. I mean hell look at the Audi R8 - James at P1 has 2 of the things - one is a manual and one has the R Tronic and the R Tronic gearbox blew up last week (but the manual car is still going strong).

All it does mean is if you do blow it up it's going to cost EVEN MORE than repairing one of those stupid Getrags!
