using an aftermarket ECU is it still necessary to have the rocker cover breather plumbing back into the intake pipe (before turbo)?

when using an oil filter relocation kit and oil cooler is it normal for the oil pressure to sit low just above the zero mark and on the odd occasion fluctuating up to just below the 4 mark but generally sitting in the low position? im guessing that what looks like a sensor plumbed in below the filter on the relocation kit is where the reading is taken

can a leak in the turbo's bearing oil seal, feed line or high head pressure cause low oil pressure? or is it purely pump and fluid flow related?

does water constantly flow thru the turbo or is it controlled by a water/engine temp sensor or a thermostat type setup?

answered in order

1) Ecu has nothing to do with oil breathing system, if your not pushing huge boost and power and your not suffering from blow by then leave the stock breather arrangement

2) Sounds like you have a dicky stock oil pressure gauge which is very common on R32's fit an aftermarket one to verify actual oil pressure.

3) a small leak or busted turbo seal wont cause low oil pressure, worn out engines and stuffed pumps will cause low oil pressure, when i say worn out engine generally im talking about loose tolerances and high km motors.

4) i believe its constant flow as the feed comes off the the waterpump circuit, it would circulate in the block until the thermostat opens.

in reference to question one im asking about removing it totally to vent that side to atmo. didnt know if stock engine idle was reliant on it or it is simply a pressure vent back into the system.
