Hey guys,

looking to 2 new rear tyres today as I have mysteriously worn my oldies down past the wear bars & pretty much into ultra slickness (can't quite put my finger on how tho lol). Neways I have stockies on @tha moment 205 55 R16 & was just wondering wat the max width is that I can go? Yes i want to keep the 16s cant afford rims yet

Thanx in advanced!

On a Gts-t 265s are the widest you would get under your guards without scrubbing - but I am not sure you can get 16s that wide. Definitely go wider than 205s though - that is not enough rubber for standard power. 235s are probably the go sweet spot between price and grip.

yeah sounds about right - may be a tad expensive, but I haven't bought 16s for many years. I take it you still have stockies? You should buy one of my sets of rim (insert shameless plug here)

or these for $900

i wouldnt go bigger then the 205 on stockies if u go 235 it A) will look gay B) have a massive amount of sidewall flex just get some s/h tyres and save for some decent width rims 17 x 8.5 17x 9.5 in around the +20 offset

or C) less traction
