Hi All.

Bran Nubian here. First Skyline ever in a few weeks. (Was getting a 03 WRX but changed my mind).

Excited about it.

DJ'ing career over, so now getting in car stuff.

Have been reading the forum over the last few weeks, thanks for all your posts, good back ground on everything from cruising to who and what I need to be aware of.

Any other issues I need to know about would be appreciated, on anything.

Who gives good prices on anything, particular products for cleaning your skyline, get serviced, where not to be after dark with your car haha...Appreciate the mind.

Starting from scratch (Turntablist pun).

Goldy.

Welcome Goldy,

You will be able to find any info you need on Skylines and the "Skyline life" in these forums, they're a wealth of information.

Firstly - Trojan motorsports Mitchell, ESP racing Queanbeyan, Autotech performance Fyshwick - All are great shops for servicing and modification around Canberra.

There are plenty of shops that will help you out with vehicle servicing but the three I just named above would be my first choices.

If you need info on keeping your new baby clean there are plenty of us that know a secret or two about detailing :whistling: and if you do a search for "Detailing" on the local ACT forum you will find lots of tips to help you with the best products and hints to get the best result.

As for not leaving your new Skyline in places after dark - Dont ever leave it in ANY shopping centre car park for an extended period (if you go to the movies or something) because unfortunately theives target Skylines, try to avoid taking it anywhere near Queanbeyan too (their not so friendly over the border  - joke).

Anywho, you should come out to the Museum one Friday night to meet us... We'll arrange to get as many people as we can out there soon.

Cheers :/

Mick

While this is in general good advise, I see Skylines from 32's to 34's in car parks all day without being stolen. Get a good immobiliser and park sensibly. Saying that, unless you can afford ANY car be stolen, get insurance.
