~$400 for a machine like that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! good son of rajab, your PC sounds like a monster Paul, can't believe that's how much it's worth 2nd hand. Don't think i'll ever buy a new pc anymore if ones like that are going for ~$400 - $500.

Bout $500, mainly cause of the HDD's. Id suggest keep them and the raid card and sell the rest off for about $350 - $400

id say you would be wasting too much cash to upgrade unless you wanna go for some serious gaming. If you dont like it being so loud, find out why its so loud and fix it. replace the fans with silent 1s, silicone washers for everything and it'll run silent. I have a coolermaster case with 5 5 1/4 slots so theres plenty of room for stuffs and it isnt too big. i cant hear it at all

the thing is, and no one will tell you this but after a basic pentium4 (1.8gig) you will almost see no difference in performance of general computer usage. the only thing that tax the system and need more CPU is games, video processing (which not many do, or what is bad about leaving your computer overnight to do it anyway), and running the latest and greatest version of bloatware (windows... vista).

True, for basic web surfing & stuff then even an old AMD althon XP with ~1gig of ram running XP will do.

The only "daily" use for the newer dual/quad cores I can think of atm is if you are playing 1080p HD videos...

Vista = load of sh*t, currently even most games runs slower on it...

the car needs the money more ;-)

My car has being neglected, while I use my savings for a new E8400 & 8800GTS computer >_>.

7200.11 baracuda is the quickest SATA drive... my machine boots in literally a couple of seconds.

i agree with the $400 mark...

the 320GB drives arent much these days, about $90 brand new... sell the box without them for $400 and sell the 320GBs for about $50ea or something.

could be used as a handy little home server if you wanted to... so maybe keep it AND get a new PC?
