ras1983
So is this the LF-A or the new supra? Either way this thing will give the GT-R a good run for its money; if the 'ring times are true it may actually prove to be a better car. gts-4 dreamer
always prefer high reving N/A power plants. less headache in general and a linear power delivery.. great general driving, be good on fuel down low driving in low rpm torque and still have the poke up top. why do people call this car hybrid ? whats hybrid about it ? Smurf
wow good point about the vspec, i wonder if it could crack into the 2's for 0-100 considering that the time of 3.3 was recorded by edmunds on a dirty surface that they claim did not have alot of traction. Hmmmm I'm really looking forward to seeing the v spec, mostly just to satisfy my curiosity given the many reports I have read. One or two reports have stated that the vspec will be no more powerful. In my opinion they need to increase the power or reduce weight big time. from what I have seen the gtr can only just keep with the 911 turbo in a straight line and therefore it making gains everywhere else. increasing power will just top it off. i'm sure power could be increased relatively easily by using a similar approach as porsche has taken with the 911 turbo's turbos. the gtr's turbos are relatively simple and cheap by comparison. but what would i know really. another report indicated that they may have driven the v spec when everyone else was testing the normal gtr. the reason for this relates to the fact that they were taken to a different area to all other journos. the car had a roll cage in it. the journo stated that it didn't feel any faster in a straight line. they indicated that it was much looser and the engineers were very interested in hearing their view on the drive. Lil_Bobby_260
No hybrid. Toyota market their higher end luxury cars as a Lexus. Being that its called a LEXUS LFA but is said to be the next TOYOTA supra, someones got their wires crossed and decided that its now a hybrid. And now runs on a half petrol/half electric powerplant :-) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/202248-new-supralexus/page/4/#findComment-3599389 Share on other sites
