Fmic And Front Bar Advise!

hi all,

ok looking at gettin a FMIC not sure on the exact size and all but wont be to huge but wont be tiny...

basically can i use the stock S2 R33 front bar i have on my car and put the INTERCOOLER behind it....jus have to chop out the few 'fins' that sit on the plastic part of the bar or whatever they are called....?

or should i and is it best to change the front bar for an after market one...

i like the fact of having the fog/driving lights and indicators at the front.....cos i really like the stock front bar,....

any advice or experiences would be welcome...

Yeap the black part in the middle of the front bar will need to be cut out and also a little bit underneath the indicator/spotlights.

and this allows which size intercooler to be put there?

I've done it to mine and my mate's car... both with Cooling Pro intercoolers.

got mine done at a workshop bout $200. did a great job, definetly better than i could ever do, and they didnt cut the reco bar which is what you want. keep it legal

they would have trimmed it a tiny bit. unless maybe you dont have the aircon thermo fan anymore. i did mine, and trimmed the smallest amount off the bottom of the reo (s1). still looks stock.

$200 install is really cheap. if i had that choice, i might have taken it but i'm glad i did it myself.

lol dont trim to much reo bar off, if you get defected you will need to have it re-enforced or replaced! i have a s2 and put a cooling pro kit in it and had to trim a lot of the front bumper off to fit it. pm me if you or anyone wants pics as i have the whole process photographed

i did one years ago on a stock s1 fit nicely was just a hybrid copy kit. id assume the s2 would be very similar in fitment

used to have hybrid cooler behind s1 front bar... cutting was req'd but fitted well

now have aftermarket 400r bar... same same
