G'DAY CHUCKIE got my pads rebonded thru PBP they had them done thru BENDIX MARFLEET EAST PERTH . They were excellent with finding me my rear pads . And very helpfull with various brake and brake pads that will suit . Talk to bendix marfleet . You may find them very helpfull . Right down to compounds .

OK I DON`T HAVE ANY PROBLEM GETTING BACK PAD`S.I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR FRONT PAD`S FOR A YEAR NOW & ALL ARE OVER PRICED.I HAVE HAD ONE OF PERTH TOP BRAKE SPECIALIST`S LOOKING AS WELL WITH NO LUCK SO.I HAVE KNOW DONE SOME LOOKING IN TO HAVING SOME PAD`S MADE.I HOPE TO HAVE A PRICE WITHIN 2 WEEK`S,THE PAD`S WILL BE BONDED BY BRAKE BOND`S AUSTRALIA,NOW THEY HAVE PERTH & 3 OTHER FACTORIES,QLD,NSW,VIC.I HAVE HAD A SET DONE LAST WEEK WHICH I HAVE POSTED UP.IF THE PAD`S COME IN AT SAY $100 PERSET I WOULD SAY THAT IS A GOOD PRICE.WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IS IF THAT IS THE COST OF THE PAD`S .WHO WOULD WANT A SET ??????. AS I HAVE SAID AT THE START OF THIS THREAD.SO AGAIN IF YOU HAVE A SERIES 2 STAGEA WITH STANDARD FRONT BRAKE SET UP PLEASE TELL ME SO.SO I HAVE SOME SORT OF IDEA IF THIS IS WILL WORK,OR DO YOU ALL WANT TO PAY TOP $$$$ FOR YOUR FRONT PAD`S I JUST THROUGHT THIS WOULD HELP A FEW SERIES 2 OWNER`S OUT AS $250 FOR SET IS TAKEN THE PISS.SO PLEASE LET ME HAVE SOME FEED BACK ON IF YOU WANT A SET.(I DON`T HAVE ANY NOW I WILL HAVE THEM MADE IF I HAVE SOME MUNBER`S TO DO SO. cheer`s chuckie.

I reckon every person with a S2 stagea should buy a set of these from Chuckie.

Imagine the day your pads finally run out - you will staring a $250 min bill plus up to 6 weeks wait for the pads to arrive from Japan. And even then you only have factory pads in the car.

Just grab these at $100, and keep them handy until you need them - because sonner or later you will!

i am in as soon as you know what the price is lemme know and will send ya the coin,

oh and by the way chuckie if you have a look next to the A key on the board there is a little button with caps lock written on it, feel free to press it so you are able to stop shouting hahaaha

cheers oxford

Has anybody replaced the calipers with S1 front brakes??

Surely this will be a much cheaper, safer and easier option in the long run. Assuming its all possible of course??

Is that what you call a retro-upgrade!!

cheaper, maybe, safer, doubtful, easier.... also doubtful....... but I tell you what, it'll be great for the resale value... while you're at it, why not go the whole hog and take the 'auto out, the engine..... or just go and buy a S1.... that's the cheaper, safer, and easier option.... :laughing-smiley-014:

Seriously I have a set of these re-bonded pads in my car and NO PROBLEMS....all you gotta do is send your worn pads to Chuckie, so that we can keep it going.

Oh and it seems as though some of you haven't realised that this way you don't have to take you car off the road (for more than 1 hour). If you get them done yourself... you'll be looking at t about 4 days without your car.

Actually, I've heard the fronts off a Pintara S/W will fit perfectly.....

But seriously, rebonds sound like the best option I've heard, I just like to look around first to see if there is anything better. If like me, you knew nothing about the brakes yourself, surely you'd do the same???

  • 2 weeks later...

G`DAY ALL,Went & had a chat with the brake bonder`s here in WA,to see what other state`s do brake bonding(brake bonder`s ),he told me that it is only them ???,I was hoping that we would have one in each state but no luck.so look`s like all pad`s will have to come out of WA,hope to have some idea on the weekend of what the cost will be,pad`s weigh just under 2kg`s,talk soon, cheer`s chuckie.

Chuckie, if my memory serves me right, the cheapest option will be pre-paid 3 kg satchel, it's $9.30. You may want to add an insurance, just a couple of bucks or something like that.

    • I much prefer that to an actual oil pressure issue, never would of thought it would of been a volt drop issue but SAU brains win again. Guess ill be turning down the oil pressure limit for the track and hunting some grounds. Ill hopefully update this thread with some high oil pressure and solid ecu voltage logs.
    • You've just discovered a really good reason to tell yourself, yes, I do need to buy an aftermarket ECU. Put the MAF in the bin. Slap in the new ECU and have a think about what turbo sounds you prefer.  Do you want a 90's style BOV wooosh? Do you want a hektik tsututututu?  Mate, can't go wrong. Just gotta get that ECU and the world is your oyster.
    • Hi. Iam just curisou about this topic. I saw this video. It is about Greddy Type FV2. I know that BoVs are about that sound but how and when to use it? I read some topic here and from what i have understand on stock RB with MAF there will be some "problems" if you use this BoV? It vents the air in to the atmosphere and the MAF on stock car needs this air back in to the intake and not out? Or is it wrong? If so...i saw you can put some adaptor to circule air back...but does that not "loose" that sound? I saw another BoV from Turbosmart and it has two "exhaust" like ports? One is for the stock tubing for letting air back and one is for "sound" and let the air in the atmosphere? Can someone please explain? This is the Greddy one:  And this is the Turbosmart.     THANK YOU!! EDIT: So i read about this topic some more and i if i understand that correctly: That Greddy can function either like BoV or 100% Bypass valve? And that Turbosmart is what they called hybrid so you can adjust what and how many air can be vented out or back in? Is this right? THX!
    • That dirty voltage drop is the culprit I suspect
    • i cant get them all in 1 screenshot unfortunately as i just dont know how to move things around tbh, but they are all from the same log and the line crosses at the same point for all of them
