hey, i've found a rb30det motor for sale, so i'm doing a little research on what id have to do b4 i go out and buy it.

this will be a budget setup for now, so im hoping to use the stock rb20 turbo and ecu (with a remap to suit) to run the 30

ive done some searcing on here and found that my rb20 exhaust manifold will swap over, but my inlet manifold will not fit on the r33 rb25de head, witch is unfortunate as that would've been ideal!

does anyone know what modifications i have to do to my 32 gtst's loom(or anything else) to make the r33 rb25de head work with the stock 20 ecu?

any help is much appreciated, and if you help, you get a sweet thumbs up!! :)

cheers!

PS. the motor comes with the r33 rb25de inlet manifold

The words 'a budget setup' and RB30 hybrid don't mix.

Slap a second hand Rb20 in and build an RB30 hybrid on a stand at your own pace financially and do it right the first time.

You have plenty of time to read over the very worthwhile 304 pages, like everyone else does.

The 20 turbo will be way too small..

I have a standard 25 turbo on my for now and that chokes the engine up around 5800rpm, it gets from 245hp down to 90hp by the time it hits the limiter

salad has the same turbo but with a VG30 exhaust housing (I think?) and the extra flow on the exhaust side lets it breath to redline.. I think he makes just over 200rwkw.

True in every way possible.

sorry, but its 304 pages long!

Good information isnt exactly on the first post of every thread mate.

There is a in-thread search option bottom left.

Feel free to use it.

People have taken the time to post valuable information, a 5min search and some reading is all it takes.

Cheers.
