Just wanted to get peoples opinions on which filter to use, from what I have read the stock airbox is pretty good and there is no need to go for a pod filter. So what panel should I use?? Apexi of K&N or other????? I have a K&N cleaning kit so that would be a bonus, but happily go to a apexi or other if people rate them as crap.

Cheers

On Sydneykids advise I got a Pipercross element from Faber Industries / Midel in Greenacre for My R33 GTST . I don't think it was a fluke that my std boost gauge rises to atmospheric faster with this element than the one it replaced which looked to be in good order .

I've no idea what element GTR air boxes use but if there's a Pipercross one made for it thats what I'd use .

For up to 350rwkw, this is the easiest, most legal and most cost effective way to do it, just without the bling!

i've back to back dyno tested a stock Nissan panel filter and Blitz pods (ie LOTS of flow) on an R32 GTR with the bottom of the filter box removed to improve flow and the flat element taped in place. there was no difference in power and the 33 GTR has a better design airbox so the flow aspect should be taken care of as long as both holes are open.

use the stock filter, you probably won't know the difference other than your wallet will be heavier and you won't have crap on your AFM elements.
