yeah the crane should hold it fine (just don't blame me if it doesn't lol).

we use a standard 2 tonne engine crane on its 250kg setting/leverage many times over and it has been fine

sorry our crane is also 1t not 2t, and we have done this. But you will probably need the 250 setting to get enough reach to get into the middle of the engine bay

But since its over the rated weight of the crank do it at your own risk!

Bah, she'll be right. There is always a factor of safety built into those numbers... :(
