Weight Of Gtr Engine And Gearbox

As Topic, does anyone know how much a gtr engine and gearbox with all turbos/lines/manifolds/ the lot weighs? Need to know as I want to try to put it all in as one piece if possible but unsure if the engine crane will hold it all

I don't know exactly but it would be over 200kg.

yeah the crane should hold it fine (just don't blame me if it doesn't lol).

we use a standard 2 tonne engine crane on its 250kg setting/leverage many times over and it has been fine

g box with transfer case alone is roughly 80-90kg, I can just lift it off the ground and not drag it, I weigh 66kg

Engine with all the crap on it, I'd love to know...

G/box, T/F case and the little driveshaft = 90KG

I got a 1 tone crane with settings of 1t 750kg 500kg and 250kg, should be fine on the 500 setting?

sorry our crane is also 1t not 2t, and we have done this. But you will probably need the 250 setting to get enough reach to get into the middle of the engine bay

But since its over the rated weight of the crank do it at your own risk!

I've never seen an engine hoist break, but have seen plenty of chain attachments snap
